Eagle Farm will play host to a ten race card on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out two metres for the entire circuit.

I have landed with 3 Lonesome Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) but this isn’t a race. Looks very even on paper with little to no depth. That said, she looked sharp in a trial win at Warwick and looks to have ability whereas some of these do not.

1 Sniper Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on debut for Paul Butterworth. He trialled in the Spring, was fair and spelled. He has come back into work and a recent trial at Doomben was encouraging enough for a race like this. Watch the market.

6 Nifty’s Treasure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in two career outings and is down in the weights. She ran two weeks back at Doomben over 1110m when third to Areprice, sitting near the speed and was okay late. First four threat.

11 Spiethtacular (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and only run well, as seen at this track/distance last start. She led and gave a strong kick from the front but couldn’t quite fend off Yoyo Yeezy, who ran well last Saturday the Sunny Coast. Good racing style, she’s around the mark.

9 Larado (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a progressive type for Matty Hoysted and keen to see how he goes. He resumed over this trip at the Sunny Coast, giving them a start and a beating in a very impressive effort. Good test here at Saturday metro level but confident he can measure up.

4 Just Precious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Stuart Kendrick trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Oct 8 at Doomben when near the speed and just battled late behind The Enchanter. She is a mare who can sprint well fresh and will launch late.

7 Noble Conqueror (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be around the mark for Chris Waller, as seen at Doomben last start. He got a suck run in transit just off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat when a close up third. He’ll be strong late…just depends what sort of start he concedes.

2 Brindavan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after a win over the mile at Doomben last time out, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. He looks to have come back in really good order and up to 1800m, he’s one of the top seeds.

8 Akkadian Emperor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Team Archibald. He resumed over the mile at Eagle Farm where he got back to near last in the run and was pretty good late I thought behind Special Artist. Might want more racing and further but off the return, he can take this out.

1 Victoria Road… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) if he has signs of life and wants to avoid retirement, he has to be winning this. He ran over 2000m in the Summer Cup last start where he got into a decent spot off speed and just plodded late behind Tavi Time. Back to the mile, has lengths on these re class…if he can’t put this field away, retire him.

4 Edited By (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Ballina Cup from just over two weeks ago. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just found one better in impressive winner Hurstville Zagreb. Knocking on the door and strikes a winnable race.

2 Bear Story (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the more fascinating runners on the card. He was formerly with Neil Dyer but now finds himself with David Vandyke. He hasn’t raced since Aug 4 when down the track in the Darwin Cup behind track specialist Hadouken. Couple of solid trials under the belt, watch betting.

2 Sunrays (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has class on her side and that is going to carry her a long way. She resumes after just a one run Spring prep where she ran second at Doomben, just failing to get there, and was spelled soon after. Fresh at 1000m I like and her trial work has been quite strong.

1 Blitzburg (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous for Michael Freedman. He got too far back in The Sunlight and while he was never threatening, he did make up some headway and was far from disgraced behind Grafterburners. That form surely reads well for a race like this.

8 Miss Force (Bet Now:  $SP.00) faces her toughest test to date but she is a short course specialist and appeals after a first up win over 800m at Ipswich, producing sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. She will be on speed and giving a great sight…last bit may test.

6 Rezone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is 2/2 this time in and it’s hard to get away from him. Both wins have come over 1400m at the Sunny Coast, each time proving to be quite strong to the line. Like the rise to the mile for him, claim, kind map, like him.

17 Sanctuary Storm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth to Special Artist at this track/distance last start. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Been up a little while but is holding his form well and commands respect.

14 La Rosetta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Toby Edmonds and is in the mix. 2/2 for the new stable, winning fresh at the Gold Coast before repeating the dose in style at the Sunny Coast. Good test here but think she can measure up.

3 Crash The Party (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating for Toby Edmonds. Thrown in the deep end last start in the Magic Millions Guineas but she ran out of her skin late, working home with real purpose behind Torque To Be Sure. If 1600m is fine, which I think it will be, then she is clearly top seed.

4 War King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and once clicked up, he looked home but was nabbed late when second to Lyneham. That was against older horses. Back to own age now, he appeals.

10 Valouri (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a nice filly on the up for Matty Dunn. She steps up to the mile after racing over 1400m on Ballina Cup Day last time. She sat on speed and seemingly had her chance but was still good in defeat when second to The Pool Boy. Think with a patient steer, 1600m should be okay and stable is flying.

6 Castillian (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Tony Gollan trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Aug 28 when placing in the Murwillumbah Cup where he seemingly had his chance but was still pretty good in defeat. Fresh at 1400m signals intent and looks to have trialled well.

7 Deep Respect (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after racing over 1350m at Doomben last start. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just couldn’t quite finish the job when fourth to Accapella Sun. Like him up in trip, on the bigger track, commands respect.

10 Red Defcon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat for Matty Kropp. She ran at Doomben last time over 1350m. Just got shuffled back off speed and while she was never threatening, she kept chasing and was quite good in defeat. Better set up here, she takes beating IMO.

10 Brereton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was thrown in the deep end when resuming in The Syndicate three weeks back at the Gold Coast. He got back to near last in the run and was okay late without threatening behind Spywire. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

1 Vodka Martini (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing five weeks ago over 1200m here in the Falvelon when on speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late. Back to 1000m and back to benchmark grade, he clearly appeals.

6 Holy Racket (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He was just off speed but never really seemed comfortable and was never a factor behind Miss Personality. His best is good enough so I am not dismissing him.

11 True Amor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is having his first run for Team Munce after racing three weeks ago over 1300m at the Gold Coast for O’Shea/Charlton, sitting near the speed but couldn’t get past impressive winner Now Is The Hour. If he brings his best, I think he wins.

14 Amuseantes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable. She ran over this trip at Doomben last start when off speed and tried hard but was never really a factor behind Estrondo, a winner last Saturday. Form reads well, she commands respect.

5 Flying Destiny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous. He was ridden with intent near the speed at Doomben last start and he was there to threaten I thought but just whacked in the run to the line late. Nearing peak fitness and his best is clearly good enough to take this out.

BEST BET: Race Five Number 2 Sunrays

NEXT BEST: Race Ten Number 11 True Amor

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 10 Brereton
