2 Nishikado (Bet Now: $1.95) is a very promising juvenile for Team Jolly that can measure up here and take this out. Debuted three weeks ago at Gawler where he had trialled up like a jet and duly won like it, giving his rivals a spanking in an impressive display. Likely ends up in Hong Kong soon, but is a horse with talent.

1 Alpha Flight (Bet Now: $2.40) is a son of Akeed Mofeed for Team Jolly that resumes. He did a good job in his opening prep back in the Autumn in three runs, the latest run coming in April when second to Hope At Hand. His trial/jumpout work has been strong and has to be respected, especially with this stable.

6 Looks Like A Lady (Bet Now: $15.00) is first up here for the Richards/Moyle camp and I think could be dangerous at odds. Hasn’t raced since April 10 at Gawler when placing in a solid 2YO 62 race. Thought her recent jumpout was encouraging and with a soft trip, she can threaten.

6 Awen (Bet Now: $4.50) gets the nod. Will Clarken trained filly that was kept quite safe in betting when debuting over 1000m at Murray Bridge where she was off the speed and she didn’t stop chasing in a good effort when third to Kova, who ran well in town last Saturday. Fitter, up to 1100m, she finds a winnable maiden IMO.

7 Bubble Lover (Bet Now: $4.20) has come back in really good order for John Macmillan. Game second to Chicago Storm fresh before racing at Balaklava again and kept finding the line when a game second to The Golfer. Knocking on the door to break the maiden tag so she commands respect.

1 Lucky Blue (Bet Now: $3.30) is ready to win a maiden. Whether it comes in town, not sure, but he’s hard fit and in form. Should have won his maiden last Wednesday at Gawler but he threw the race away and was nabbed on the peg. If he does everything right, he can threaten.

3 Gate Crash (Bet Now: $2.60) has been costly to punters his past few but I do think he finds a very winnable race. He ran last Wednesday at Sandown and to the eye, he was quite plain, but the race shape was clearly against him, with a sit/sprint set up not to his liking. Reckon a more genuine tempo here, you’ll see a better performance.

5 Unique Artist (Bet Now: $4.20) can be an improver and does have somewhat of a class edge. Resumed in a moderate Mares race at Flemington where she looked in need of the run and that’s how it played out when down the track behind It’s True. Fitter, up in trip, her best is clearly good enough. Just rather see her than back her.

7 Ichibansan (Bet Now: $9.00) is a winning threat with his best. He ran two weeks back on the Parks track over 1950m where he got a mile out of his ground but was good late behind an in form Jaguary. He can settle much closer in the run and is quite dangerous if that can eventuate here.

8 Litchfield County (Bet Now: $5.50) has found winning form and he can hold it. He was bolting in the run two weeks ago on the Parks track. Just a matter of getting clear air and once he got it, he was too good. He is a sharp short course galloper so down in the weights, off a good speed, he’s suited.

3 Spanish Heirloom (Bet Now: $2.90) will jump on the bunny and prove hard to run down. She got a soft lead when resuming two weeks ago on the Parks track and the end result was a dominant all the way win. If she can stretch her brilliance to 1100m, she’ll take beating once again.

9 Wotuwant (Bet Now: $8.00) is in career best form for Darryl Carrison. He won like Black Caviar two back at Murray Bridge before backing up a week later at Gawler and he was one of the runs of the meeting from the back against the pattern when second to I’m A Legend. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Montepulciano (Bet Now: $3.60) is bursting to win and hard fit, up to the mile, he gets a great chance. He has come back in really good order, resuming with a close up fifth at Murray Bridge to Zoulah. He then went to 1400m on the Parks track and was very good once again, finishing behind Zoulah once again. Hard fit now and up to a more suitable trip, he can take this out.

1 Melody Man (Bet Now: $5.00) is a definite improver here for Jake Stephens, a stable that is in form. Resumed two weeks ago on the Parks track and just looked in need of the run behind Zoulah. Might want one more as she is a 2000m horse, but a rise to the mile and fitter are two big ticks.

6 Kyshaka (Bet Now: $21.00) has a touch of class on her side when she’s right and for mine is one that can be a first four threat. Resumed three weeks back at Gawler when racing against the pattern and couldn’t get involved behind the very much in form Cashin’ Chex, who bolted up last Saturday. Dangerous if she’s close to peak fitness.

Bit of guessing involved but I’ll take a chance with the resuming Peter Hardacre three year old 7 The Big Kahuna (Bet Now: $19.00). He had a two run prep to start his career in the Autumn, resuming with a third at Bordertown before a strong win at Mount Gambier at start two. Can’t find a trial/jumpout for him, but he does look promising.

3 Rising Legend (Bet Now: $7.50) is a query at the mile but being on speed helps his cause. He attempted to lead throughout on the Parks track two weeks ago and gave a solid kick when asked but was no match late for Bolt By. If he gets a soft lead, I think the mile will be okay.

6 Prince Jofra (Bet Now: $18.00) can win with his best. He ran at Gawler three weeks back where he was near a very genuine speed and those in front, for the most part, got a stitch late, including him, when down the track behind Alpine Flyer. His best is good enough. Just want to see him produce it.

I’m with 6 Express Master (Bet Now: $9.00). First run for the new stable came over 900m at Murray Bridge where he sat back near last in the run before being presented wider and launchng late, finishing over the top to win impressively. Like him up in trip and if the inside gate is used, he’ll take beating.

1 Zion (Bet Now: $9.50) can be a big improver here. Resumed for Will Clarken at Gawler three weeks ago and was a total forgive given he was back and wide on a day where on speed/fence was absolute gold. He’s a quality sprinter when right and with a better set up here, I want to give him another chance.

9 Lope De Wolf (Bet Now: $11.00) is better suited over further, but can sprint well fresh. Francis/Kent trained gelding that resumes, having not raced since Feb 26 over the mile here when a close up fourth to handy filly The Map. Better suited over a bit further, but has the form around him to give this a shake.

5 Extremely Lucky (Bet Now: $4.00) is a Group l class horse IMO for Will Clarken and really keen to see him resume, where I think he’ll resume with a win. Arguably goes close to winning the Tobin Bronze had he not got badly held up. He then went to a benchmark race and made a mess of them in electric time. He’s destined for better races than this and with two jumpouts under the belt, this looks a target race en route to Melbourne.

1 Kallos (Bet Now: $4.80) looks ready to rock and roll fresh. Quality colt for James Cummings that resumes, having not raced since Feb 5 when pretty plain behind Shadow Crush in a fast run sprint race at Randwick. Been given a good break and I think his trial work leading in has been as good as he has trialled. He’s here for a first up kill.

4 Keep Reading (Bet Now: $11.00) looks to have been set for the race. Narrow second to Sigh fresh at Murray Bridge. He then had a month off and ran a fortnight back on the Parks track where he was there to win but was pipped late Calla Dream. He’s a very consistent animal, genuine and tries hard. A threat for sure.

10 Pimm’s Party (Bet Now: $5.00) has an awful racing pattern, but she is flying and clearly knocking on the door to win one. Narrow second to Zoulah two back at Murray Bridge before going to the Parks track where she again got back and worked home strongly, just missing out in a blanket finish when fourth to Oh Mo, beaten just under a length. Bigger track, genuine tempo, she’ll get her chance to finish over the top.

7 Agrimony (Bet Now: $3.70) is a key threat. Will Clarken trained gelding that ran down the straight at Flemington two weeks back where he was off the bit a fair way out but he stayed on and was good late when a close up fifth to Squid Game, beaten just under a length. Brings that here, he’ll take beating.

Mark Webb doesn’t have a bad record when he brings runners to SA so I am commanding respect to 9 Ocean Reward (Bet Now: $8.00). He resumed in a strong 64 at Sale and worked to the line nicely from off the speed when fourth to Trading Post. Good second up record and stable finds Barend Vorster.
