30/10/2021 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Ascot, Prince Of Wales Stakes day

A bumper eleven race program has been set down for Ascot on Saturday for Asian Beau Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is heavy (9) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

4 Success Play (Bet Now: $1.90) on top in the opener but not a great deal of confidence. Looks suited up to the mile after a strong win last start over 1300m at Northam, really knuckling down nicely when challenged. The rise in trip should be fine and finds a winnable race.

1 Twice Lucky (Bet Now: $4.20) looks the likely leader and should give a sight. Sat on speed over 1400m at Northam last start and was one of the first off the bit but kept finding under Pike, fended them off and was too good, just. If he gets a soft time of it in front, the mile should be fine.

7 Feels Danish (Bet Now: $17.00) rises a bit in grade/depth but she comes here as a last start winner. That win came at York where she led throughout and what I liked was the fight she showed. She was there to be run down but found under pressure and was too good. Doubt she wins here but one for exotics.

4 Ultimate Command (Bet Now: $4.20) is a very genuine filly resuming for Adam Durrant. This girl was a busy juvenile but was very honest at this level, running good races on a continual basis from on speed. Couple of 400m trial wins under the belt and I do feel she is best suited at 1000m. Hard to beat.

3 The Front Bar (Bet Now: $3.20) is a talented filly for Adam Durrant that resumes. This girl did a good job in her first prep during the Winter, winning a couple of races in town. Hasn’t had a big break so the tick over trial at Lark Hill was a good piece of work and good lead that Pike sticks.

1 Ain’t No Other Man (Bet Now: $5.50) will be better suited over further, but he does have a touch of quality about him. Resumes for Team Casey, having not raced since May 29 when making it two on the bounce in town with an on speed win at Belmont. Just one quiet trial leading, so will be interesting to see what the market does.

5 Snippy Miss (Bet Now: $9.00) has been around the mark of late and is getting close to a win. Ran at Kalgoorlie four weeks ago where she sat back in the field and took a while to get into her work but was good late when a close up third. She’s a hard horse to catch re winning, but should be around the mark.

4 Smashing (Bet Now: $7.50) is a model of consistency and more often than not isn’t far away from the action. That was the case a fortnight back here when off the speed and chasing strongly, running a game second to Apple Schnapps. Finds a winnable race and just has to hold her form.

2 Mini Winnie (Bet Now: $10.00) is a Danehill Express gelding that resumes and can pull out a decent run fresh. Hasn’t raced since May 29 at Belmont when back off the speed, seemingly getting a good run in transit, but failed to finish it off and looked a tired horse. Liked his trial to get ready and is one for multiples.

10 Fashion Queen (Bet Now: $1.90) looks the obvious one. Jumps a fair bit in grade but she was a dominant winner as a short priced elect at Geraldton last time, justifying the weight of support in putting them away. Comes to town but gets Pike, a soft draw and a thin race.

2 Ginger Flyer (Bet Now: $4.00) comes back to 1400m but is a last start metro winner. Looked in awful trouble when racing over the mile here three weeks ago but got a miracle split, dashed through and was too good. Should press forward from the gate and run a bold race.

12 Jaguar Grey (Bet Now: $10.00) is a first four contender. Comes through the Apple Schnapps race from a couple of weeks back here. Just got left flat footed when the spent went on but closed off his race pretty well I thought. If he can sit closer in the run, he could be dangerous at odds.

Looks pretty straight forward here with 9 God Has Chosen (Bet Now: $2.10). Lindsey Smith trained gelding that resumed at Northam and was one of the eye catchers of the meeting from the back when second to Excelestial. Pike on, fitter, he looks one of the better bets on the card.

10 Glamour Packed (Bet Now: $15.00) is a mare I can entertain as a key winning threat. I didn’t think she was too bad here last time out after getting a fair way back in the run behind Big Bada Boom. Can settle much closer in the run from the good draw and is one of the hardest to beat.

6 Marlize (Bet Now: $20.00) is on the quick back up after racing on Sunday, Northam Cup Day. I thought his run was full of merit after getting a mile out of his ground. If he can settle a few pairs closer in the run, I think he could be dangerous at a price. Just needs to jump clean.

5 Savanik (Bet Now: $3.70) has done little wrong this prep and I think she can win again. Far from disgraced two back in the Ladies Day Cup at Northam. Then raced here just over two weeks ago where she got a lovely run in transit before angling into clear and finishing best. Finds a winnable Saturday race and is a mare in form.

7 Real Passion (Bet Now: $6.00) rises in depth/grade but has the right colours and Pike factor. Looked very one paced at Geraldton last start but worked to the line pretty well when second. Think the rise to 1800m will suit and her best is good enough to take this out.

4 Jarman (Bet Now: $9.50) is a knockout chance. Tough win from him two back at Kalgoorlie. He then raced here where he looked the winner for a few strides but was run down but a handy one, Spritely Star. That form does read well for this, so I think he commands respect.

8 Real Charisma (Bet Now: $2.00) looks to pick herself. Team Williams trained mare that resumed over 1400m here two weeks ago. Looked in a bit of trouble on the turn but Pike produced some magic in getting her clear and the mare did the rest. Fitter, up to the mile, clearly the one to beat.

This run will tell us just how good is 2 Big Bada Boom (Bet Now: $7.00). Roy Rogers trained gelding that has been beautifully placed throughout his career. No place to hide now with his rating. Is he capable of being Stakes class, or is this his level? We will find out after this race.

4 Staffords Lad (Bet Now: $27.00) comes here four weeks between runs and I dare say would have eyes on the Perth Cup. He hasn’t raced since a game effort in the Kalgoorlie Cup when a strong second, just missing out on the win. Not sure he’s a winning threat here, but one for multiples.

7 Wilchino… (Bet Now: $2.30) what on earth was that last Saturday? At this track/distance, she led throughout and spanked them in sizzling time, an effort alone that could book her a trip to Melbourne in the not too distant future. Electric performance and if she can hold that form here, she’ll win again.

9 Triple Missile (Bet Now: $3.10) looks an exciting animal for Lindsey Smith. Smashed in betting first up over this track/distance two weeks ago and the market got it spot on as he sat off speed before peeling wider and putting the race to bed in a couple of strides. Destined for better things and is a threat here for sure.

1200m back to 1000m I hate for 4 Graceful Girl (Bet Now: $3.80) so I suspect this is more or less a prep run for her. The win over 1200m fresh here was dynamic, producing an electric finale from off the speed. She’ll be run off her legs here and while she’ll be strong late, I see her as a first four threat more so than a winning threat.

I think the soft gate is a big, big tick for 4 Indian Pacific (Bet Now: $3.90). He resumed two weeks ago in the Crawford where he had to do work from the wide gate to land on speed and loomed to win but condition just gave way late. He’ll get run of the race from the draw and is good enough to win this.

2 Elite Street (Bet Now: $2.05) is back. The wheels were off after a failed Melbourne prep but a good spell and he is back in a big way, producing an electric finish to take out the Crawford Stakes. You’d like to think there will be natural improvement and with that, he’s hard to beat.

6 Mervyn (Bet Now: $20.00) will look the winner for around 700m of this race. That was the case first up in the Crawford but he just couldn’t quite see it out and felt the pinch late. He has speed to burn so he will lead these comfortably. He’ll give a sight…last 200m will be the test.

9 Western Empire (Bet Now: $2.45) might be better suited over further but he could just be a star, win this and then win the Railway/Kingston Town. Great to see him back at the races, having not raced since the Autumn when a strong winner of the WA Derby. His trials leading in have been super and looks forward enough for a 1400m resumption.

Good test here for 5 Kissonallforcheeks (Bet Now: $2.60) but she’s fit and in form, and is a Stakes winner, so she has earned a crack. Strong win at this track/distance last time out, finishing best from off the speed. Tricky draw to overcome but hard to knock how genuine she is.

2 Platoon (Bet Now: $23.00) is a quality animal that is perhaps for looking further but I thought his return was very encouraging. That came in the Northerly where he was back in the run and never really a winning threat but liked the way he finished his race off. He’s on track for the Railway and is one of the key contenders.

I think 7 Temptacion (Bet Now: $5.50) is a great bet here. Dan Morton trained mare that should love the rise to the 1800m. Ran over the mile here last time out in an on pace dominated affair and really had no chance but her finale was strong when third. Like her up in trip, upside to come, hard to beat.

4 Roman Flirt (Bet Now: $3.30) is a mare in form and she can certainly hold that here. Two weeks between runs since a dominant win over the mile. Carried 60kg but she was strong in putting them away. Harder here, but you have to like the way she is going about it.

2 Midnight Blue (Bet Now: $6.50) has class and that will carry him a long way here. This guy hasn’t raced since the Perth Cup where he was a game third to Neufbosc in an epic edition of the race. Three trials to get ready for his return, he has the class factor, quite clearly, on this lot.

NEXT BEST: Race Five Number 9 God Has Chosen

LONG SHOT: Race Eleven Number 7 Temptacion
