Race 1. (13:24) Morley Growers Market Plate 1200m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

1 Top Of The Pops (Bet Now: $1.85) could well be a Summer Carnival horse, potentially a WA Guineas/Kingston Town type. Very exciting prospect for Dan Morton that is 3/3 to start his career, the latest being two weeks ago over 1400m here when producing the best last 600/400/200 of the meeting. Back to 1200m no issue and he looks to have too much class/brilliance.

Danger

2 Upper Limits (Bet Now: $8.00) is an Exosphere gelding that resumes. Hasn’t raced since his debut, which came at Ascot over 1200m back in January when good late from the back, clocking the best late splits of the race in a strong debut. Form out of it looks suspect, but he appears above average and liked his recent trial win at Lark Hill.

Long Shot

8 Fashion Stakes (Bet Now: $15.00) is a daughter of Playing God on debut for Neville Parnham. She’s had two preps to get ready for start one, with a three trial prep in the Spring without a run. Spelled, trialled last week here and moved well when winning over 1000m. First four contender.

Race 2. (13:59) Glenroy Chaff (Bm62+) 1650m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

4 Zephyra (Bet Now: $2.10) on top. I think she’s Stakes class for sure. 2/2 to start her career, smashing the clock on debut at Ascot before racing here two weeks ago where she was surprisingly ridden positvely to sit on speed, but it mattered not as she dug in superbly late to fend them off and win. I reckon with a conservative steer, like on debut, she’ll be far more effective.

Danger

3 The Velvet Queen (Bet Now: $2.00) is knocking on the door to win. She ran second to Zephyra a fortnight back in that race mentioned above, working home strongly and clocking the best last 400/200 of the meeting. If the inside gate is used to advantage, she’ll take beating.

Long Shot

2 Passion Prince (Bet Now: $11.00) is the x factor for Adam Durrant. I don’t think he beat much at Albany last time, but there was a bit of quality about the way he put the older horses away under a peach steer from CJP, who sticks. I think he’d love 2000m rather than staying at the mile, but he’s talented and don’t dismiss.

Race 3. (14:34) Tabtouch-Wspeed Platinum-Rs0ly 1000m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

3 Premium Choice (Bet Now: $2.70) to bounce back. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago in a race far stronger than this and he ran well, but couldn’t quite finish it off when fifth to Nowhiteflag. I reckon back on top of the ground and back miles in depth, he can bounce back into the winners list.

Danger

1 Famous Jurney (Bet Now: $6.50) had been somewhat disappointing this time in, but it was good placement by Jim Taylor to send him to the Provincials third up where he found a weak race at Northam and with sustained speed, he was too sharp for them. This isn’t a strong city race and with his confidence up, he’ll give a sight.

Long Shot

8 Eye Of The Day (Bet Now: $26.00) is one I could entertain for wider multiples. Resumed down the straight at Pinjarra where she was near the speed throughout and battled away okay despite seemingly having every chance behind Men’s Club. Finds it hard to win, but could pinch a first four spot.

Race 4. (15:13) Tabtouch-Better Your Bet-Bm66+ 1400m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

6 Gunmetal Grey (Bet Now: $3.40) is third up, looks ready to win and I do think 1400m is okay. Ran over 1200m here two weeks ago and worked to the line quite strongly from the back when third to impressive winner Mercanto. I think 1400m will be fine, the depth is a tad thin and she gets Chris Parnham. Very likeable.

Danger

3 Crescent City (Bet Now: $11.00) is an absolute beauty for Grant Williams that resumes. This son of Fiorente hasn’t raced since March 26 at Ascot when a closing third to Sentimental Queen in a very good effort. Just one soft trial leading in, but hasn’t had too long of a break and does race well on the fresh side.

Long Shot

2 Fangio (Bet Now: $12.00) is a Roy Rogers trained mare that is first up and I think can be quite dangerous. Last run came on December 11 at Ascot when pulling up lame in a clear forgive behind God Has Chosen. Resumes without a trial, but have to respect the stable when they come to town.

Race 5. (15:53) Vale Dick Vincent (Rs1mw) 1650m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

3 The Admiral (Bet Now: $3.10) on top in what looks a competitive 1MW race. Backing up after a strong win last Wednesday here, sitting on speed throughout and was there to be run down but found plenty under pressure to get the win. Overall, this isn’t a strong race and hard to knock the way he’s going.

Danger

10 Shake The Bloom (Bet Now: $11.00) is a mare who has returned in pretty good order. Resumed over the mile at Pinjarra and liked the change up speed she produced from just off the speed, knuckling down nicely to win. Given she’s best over further, I think that bodes well for the rest of the prep.

Long Shot

6 Olden (Bet Now: $31.00) is a very hard horse to catch. Ran over the mile at Pinjarra last start where he got back to near last in the run and was never really a winning threat, but liked his finale behind an in form Acting God. Good track/distance record, he’s a first four contender.

Race 6. (16:29) Quayclean (Bm72+) 1650m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

2 Media Baron (Bet Now: $4.40) has a clear class edge and I think that will be enough to get him home. First couple of runs for the prep were quite plain, but he stepped up to this track/distance two weeks ago and was good late when third to God Has Chosen in a pleasing return. Now he’s got that positive form, he can hold it.

Danger

3 Double Digit (Bet Now: $4.40) is finding it hard to win, but that said, he’s racing well. He ran in the God Has Chosen race mentioned above where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never really a winning threat, he was good late when fourth. Has to be respected in a race with less overall depth.

Long Shot

8 Gunnago (Bet Now: $13.00) is one I can entertain for wider multiples. Ran over 1400m here two weeks back and was solid late after conceding a start, finishing fourth to Devoted. Like him up to the mile and right down in the weights, I think he’s in with a shout as a knockout hope.

Race 7. (17:05) Schweppes (Rs0ly) 2100m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

6 Phenomenal Anomaly (Bet Now: $4.00) has that sense of timing about him and with the Durrant/CJP factor, I’m leaning his way. Ran over 2000m here last Wednesday where it was survival of the fittest and the ride from CJP certainly ensured he would be, making a sustained run to finish best. He’s got the upside/progression to measure up.

Danger

5 Shadow Girl (Bet Now: $7.00) has a good third up record and Chris Parnham sticks. Ran over 1800m at Ascot last time out where she had a suck run behind the speed before getting the cutaway and finishing off okay despite having her chance. Like her up in trip, Parnham sticks and another that has upside.

Long Shot

4 Admired (Bet Now: $10.00) hadn’t really fired a shot this time in but that all changed at Northam last start over 2200m where he was well specked at a price and under a lovely ride from Whiting, he was able to finish best and prove quite strong at the end, so 2100m here no issue and is a track/distance winner.

Race 8. (17:40) Amelia Park (Rs1mw) 1300m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

4 Savanik (Bet Now: $13.00) gets the nod for me. This mare seems to race best early on in the prep so I think first up here is the time to strike. Hasn’t raced since January 5 when a strong third over 1400m here in what was a solid race, with the form out of being franked. Liked her trial here last week and should map ideally from the inside draw.

Danger

6 Rebelzone (Bet Now: $4.00) comes to town in what is a good test for her I feel. She has won three on the bounce but I’d say has been very well placed by the camp, winning a couple at Pinjarra with a weak Ascot Class 1 in between. Good test against some likely types, but I do feel Belmont will suit and Chris Parnham sticks.

Long Shot

8 Classic Rogue (Bet Now: $26.00) is a handy galloper for Steve Wolfe that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Feb 2 at Pinjarra when wide no cover over 2000m and dropping out to finish down the track behind Off Wego. Better suited over further, but his recent trial was encouraging, so keen to see how he goes.

Race 9. (18:15) Belmont Sprint 1400m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

2 Valour Road (Bet Now: $6.00) is a beauty for Simon Miller and happy to be in his corner as an each way bet. Like most here, his last run was the Roma Cup two weeks ago where he got back in the run and was good late in a strong return when fourth to Elite Street. Fitter, up to 1400m, from a soft gate, he appeals for sure.

Danger

16 Amasenus (Bet Now: $9.00) will be dangerous if the inside gate is used to advantage. She got a fair way back in the run in the Roma Cup, somewhat against her pattern, but she was still very good late in the piece behind Elite Street. Settles closer in the run, she’ll take beating.

Long Shot

14 Kaptain Kaos (Bet Now: $13.00) will be launching at these late. Michael Grantham trained gelding that resumed in the Roma Cup where he was snagged back from the wide gate and launched late in a good return behind Elite Street. Might want one more, but he’ll be strong at the end.

Race 10. (18:50) Crown Perth (Bm66+) 1000m

* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me

10 Sneaky Chance (Bet Now: $2.60) looks the pony to bet on. Several weeks between runs for Trevor Andrews since racing over 1200m at Ascot. I thought she was there to win but couldn’t quite get past Cross Statement in a close finish. I reckon back to five furlongs is a big tick, maps well, down in the weights…keen.

Danger

11 State Of Power (Bet Now: $4.40) is a filly with good promise for Simon Miller. Has been kept on ice, having not raced since April 2 when back in the run and making up good ground behind Metallon, a horse who is above average. Good record at Belmont and races well on the fresh side.

Long Shot

7 Sunnysilk (Bet Now: $31.00) is a David Harrison trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since December 16 when solid enough in defeat from off the speed down the straight at Pinjarra behind Olga Luisa. Resumes without a trial, but she is a mare who can sprint quite well fresh. Watch the market.
