28/3/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Toowoomba, King Of The Mountain day

2 Prefer To Dance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Saturday over 2200m at the Gold Coast when on speed throughout and he tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite see it through. He’s hard fit, in form, will be strong late and Tis isn’t a deep race.

4 Synergy In Motion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to the mile after racing over 1400m at Grafton last time when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat when third. He has less convictions than most and has upside to come.

9 Artistic Touch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has talent I feel. She ran over the mile at the Sunny Coast where she got quite keen in the run, did plenty wrong, but kept finding the line and was a definite pass mark. One for wider exotics I say.

1 Cape Crusader (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play. He was a track/distance winner last start, getting the beaut run in transit in behind the speed before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

6 Earl Of Devon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Cape Crusader in that race mentioned above. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front but was nabbed late. Good racing style and gets in well after the claim.

9 Jamaican Mecrazy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was too bad to be true two back at this track/distance before going back to 1300m where she got back off the speed but kept chasing and was quite good in defeat. Her best is good enough be dangerous.

3 Mishani Crown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and take beating. She comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Feb 23 when on speed and fought hard but was just run down late. Good racing style and back to 1100m is a big tick.

1 Shows A Sign (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Eagle Farm. He was near the speed throughout and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat. Much better suited at this level, he appeals.

7 Rumi Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to her home track after a last start win at Chinchilla where she looked drunk racing around there but class got her home. Her best is good enough to be a threat at odd in what is an open contest.

I’ll take a chance with 14 Magic Valour (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who is on debut for Mark Currie. This girl is bred to be a handy one and you’d think debuting here on the home track on the biggest race meeting for the track, you’d think she’s ready to go, and this isn’t a deep maiden, so she doesn’t need to be anything special to win.

5 Turn The Corner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) rates as one of the hardest to beat after resuming over 1200m at Eagle Farm where he was near the speed throughout and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through and felt the pinch late. Tricky gate to overcome but have to respect Tony Gollan when he comes to Toowoomba.

2 Boom Crusher (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Billy Healey. He resumed at Warwick where he got back, was keen in the run, and just couldn’t get involved, but was a total forgive I thought. Had trialled well leading in so keen to see how he goes.

8 Financially Famous (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good mover for Louise White. She debuted two weeks ago over 1000m at Eagle Farm where she gave them a start and a beating to win quite impressively I thought. The market had binned her but gee she was sharp and you’d think up to 1200m, ideal gate, she’s clearly the one to beat.

10 Casino Bay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run, which came over 1000m here. She was wide no cover throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. That said, she was far from disgraced in defeat after the work she did. Better run in transit, she’s dangerous.

3 Flashmaster (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Rothesay that is on debut for Desleigh Forster. This guy trialled at Eagle Farm a couple of weeks back and seemed to move well enough to my eye despite being beaten seven lengths. Watch the market and see what it does.

3 Brereton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the nod for me. Tony Gollan trained gelding that ran over 1200m at Eagle Farm last time when just off the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off behind Lost In Transit when fourth. Hard fit, ideal map, happy to be in his corner.

11 Our Magnus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does have a fab record on the home track and despite being a long time out of the winners list, I think he has to be rated as one of the leading contenders. He ran over 1400m at Eagle Farm last time where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he closed off. Wet track is ideal, strong late, leading chance.

18 Ten Trinity Square (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of I Am Invincible for Mark Currie. The form guide says he is first up but he is technically second up because he did resume two weeks ago at Toowoomba but in a night meeting, the lights went out at various stages, so the race was declared a no race. He ran well given the rider said he couldn’t see a thing and was trusting the horse to guide him around. But, he’s a nice horse and is a leading contender.

1 Cifrado (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just looks to have lengths on these for mine, especially if the rain hits. He resumes for Rex Lipp, having not raced since The Magic Millions QTIS when far from disgraced in defeat behind Hidden Wealth. Trial work has been great, he goes well fresh, he swims…the one to beat, and clearly.

4 Steady Ready (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the most brilliant horse in the race…just whether he runs 1200m, especially on wet ground. He has been quite impressive this time in, the latest win being two weeks ago at Eagle Farm over 1000m, producing sustained speed and gave nothing else a look in. He’ll look the winner…last bit will test.

7 Secret Plan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a horse I am very interested in. This will be his first run for Team Sears that was formerly with Richard Litt in Sydney. He is a horse who will thrive on a wet track and resumes without a public trial, so I think watch betting.

Pretty keen to be with 4 Restonica (Bet Now:  $SP.00), a former Godolphin runner that is making his QLD debut for Pat Webster. This guy does have solid enough NSW form and at his best, I do think he could just have lengths on these, and he went like a rocket in a trial win here. If he’s ready to go, he wins.

9 Adalie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has home track advantage for Team Geran and is racing well. She ran over 1200m at Warwick last time when near the speed and battled on really well in defeat behind Ma’s Epic. Like her back to 1100m. Just needs luck from the draw.

5 Xerri (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes up to 1100m after racing over 870m here when wide no cover throughout and that hard run just told on her late in the piece. Not sure she is a horse I could back to win but is one for wider exotics.

BEST BET: Race Seven Number 1 Cifrado

NEXT BEST: Race Five Number 8 Financially Famous

LONG SHOT: Race Four Number 14 Magic Valour
