Racing continues at Morphettville Parks this Saturday with eight races to be run and won. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out 2.5 metres for the entire circuit.

Race One (13:44) : UBET Adelaide Cup March 14 Handicap 1000m:
Back Me: 1 Dalradian (Best Odds: $4.00) had the blinkers on for the first time last start at Caulfield and that gear change just backfired badly when he sat on speed and pulled his head off when sixth to Valliano. With better racing manners here, he should just win I think based on his form.
Big Danger: 2 Bullion Wolf (Best Odds: $3.20) contested the Preview and Prelude of the Blue Diamond and while he didn’t win, he performed admirably, but is back home now against this level, which really suits him and he should take some beating.
Roughie: 9 Reconnect (Best Odds: $8.50) debuts here for Phillip Stokes. His trial at Gawler on Monday was very good, and he looked to have a bit in reserve. He is in the right stable and they are having a good run with their youngsters. Watch for market moves.

Race Two (14:19) : Schweppes Handicap 1250m:
Back Me: 1 Karlovasi (Best Odds: $6.50) was well backed when racing over this track/distance a fortnight back and was given a very confident ride by Paul Gatt to justify the market support. Now that he has that winning feeling, he can go right on with it, as he did last prep when he strung together a couple of wins.
Big Danger: 3 Eclair Attack (Best Odds: $4.20) is a talented gelding that resumes for Phillip Stokes. He was very good during the Spring, which ended with a solid effort in the Norman Robinson behind Sacred Eye. His recent trial behind Call Me Curtis was very good and that horse ran alright last Saturday. He is better over further, but he has class.
Roughie: 7 Space Time (Best Odds: $14.00) was specked at odds in that Karlovasi race mentioned above where he attempted to lead all the way and beat all bar Karlovasi. Gets a nice weight swing on that horse and being third up now, he should be ready fitness wise.

Race Three (14:54) : Farmers Union Iced Coffee Handiap (75) 2250m:
Back Me: 7 Arizona Girl (Best Odds: $6.00) was a solid winner two back at Geelong before going to Ladbrokes Park where she probably just couldn’t lump the big weight against the boys when finishing down the track behind Last Wish. This looks more her go and should go close with luck in running.
Big Danger: 3 Nisos (Best Odds: $4.60) is on the back up from last Saturday when racing over 2400m here and getting up powerfully to nail Tunes in the last couple of strides thanks to a lovely ride from Jamie Kah. The drop back to 2250m should only be beneficial and will go close for sure.
Roughie: 8 Hadda Couple (Best Odds: $9.00) ran in the Naracoorte Cup last time out and attempted to lead all the way but felt the pinch late to run third to Hasta La Thomas. He is better than that and can make his presence felt here for sure.

Race Four (15:33) : Quayclean Handicap (64) 1000m:
Back Me: 5 Highest Note (Best Odds: $2.70) ran over this track/distance last Saturday where he attempted to lead all the way but tired late when a close up second to Calianco. Looks a bit easier here for him and should take some beating if he leads and gets a cheap sectional.
Big Danger: 4 Captain Punch (Best Odds: $3.60) trialled really prior to running over this track/distance when running a fair fifth to all the way winner Just Kappy who just had it too good in front. Looks better placed here IMO and despite the rise in grade, he is a definite winning chance.
Roughie: 8 Lady Andress (Best Odds: $13.00) was easy in the market when racing at Strathalbyn a tick over three weeks back and was very disappointing I thought behind Lunar Queen. She is better than that, and on her best form, she is a definite winning chance.

Race Five (16:13) : Adelaide Galvanising Handicap (90) 1400m:
Back Me: 6 Mr Backchat (Best Odds: $8.00) has been freshened up since failing on New Years Day at Flemington behind stablemate Underestimation, who has since run well and the form out of that race has held up nicely. Draws gate one and gets Lindop on. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: 3 Baligari (Best Odds: $2.50) has been given a little freshen up since running third to Mighty Like in the John Dillon (1400m) on Australia Day, beaten just under a length. He was sensational in two runs up north prior, so on the freshen up, and with his record at the track, he will take a power of beating.
Roughie: 4 Evangelist (Best Odds: $7.00) hasn’t raced since New Years Day at Flemington when finishing down the track behind Second Bullet in a race where the leader dominated from the front. He performs very well fresh, so look for him to charge late.

Race Six (16:54) : MAC Drink Driving? GROW UP Handicap (82) 1000m:
Back Me: 9 Hotel Sierra (Best Odds: $9.00) ran in a 955m heat race at the Valley last Friday night and was completely luckless I thought behind Aunty Mo given she got badly held up on the turn and had no momentum. Unbeaten in her lone run here and strikes a very winnable race.
Big Danger: 14 Viceroy (Best Odds: $3.40) is a talented gelding that resumes for Tony McEvoy after a very good Spring campaign, which ended with a placing behind Invincible Heart on Cup Day at Flemington.
Roughie: 4 Counter Spin (Best Odds: $21.00) is a quality animal that resumes here for the Macdonald/Gluyas yard. He finished his Spring on Cup Day at Flemington in a hot form race when finishing down the track behind Malaguerra. No trials, and drawn wide, but he has quality and will be strong late.

Race Seven (17:33) : Nespresso Handicap (70) 1400m:
Back Me: 10 Pinkies Girl (Best Odds: $4.20) strung together two on the bounce before racing over 1500m on the course proper and was close up behind the in form galloper Boys Getaround Him, beaten just over two lengths. Neilson takes over now and despite drawing wide, looks one of the hardest to beat.
Big Danger: 3 Alcobro (Best Odds: $4.20) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back and stuck on alright behind on speed winner Debeersonus, beaten 1.4L. Tends to save his best for the Parks track, draws well and despite the weight rise, is a definite threat.
Roughie: 2 Zayak (Best Odds: $26.00) hasn’t raced since January 30 at Morphettville when running a close up fourth to Zerprise Journey, beaten just under a length. Back to 1400m is no query and his two efforts at the track have been quite encouraging.

Back Me: 9 Pepper The Pin (Best Odds: $7.50) has been given a three week freshen up since running second to Miss Adele where he looked home but the winner bloused him near the inside to win in the last stride. Draws wide, but he is hard fit and in ripping form.
Big Danger: 3 Fastcar (Best Odds: $6.50) is on the back up from last Saturday when running a game fifth to Stakes class galloper Dylanson. This is a big, big drop in grade, getting fitter and is well weighted after the claim.
Roughie: 5 Ship’s Captain (Best Odds: $21.00) ran over 1000m here two weeks back and wasn’t beaten far behind Just Kappy. Looks a bit harder here, but on his day he is talented and senior rider back on.
