2 Starts Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in a purple patch for Team Jolly and is one of the key chances after his win at Murray Bridge two weeks ago. Credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

6 Under The Cone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran a game second to Starts Now a fortnight back. He got into a nice spot just off the speed and presented to win but just found one better in a driving go. Knocking on the door and strikes a winnable race for mine.

3 Brave Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday on the Parks track when wide with cover before coming wider and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off behind Willybeafactor. Good record on the course proper, he’s in the mix.

3 Twin Perfection (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me. He is several weeks between runs since racing down the straight at Flemington when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind Marble Nine. He looks to have found a winnable race if he brings his best and Neindorf will be desperate with the premiership on the line.

4 Lingani (Bet Now:  $SP.00) drops a fair way in grade/depth after racing two weeks back at Caulfield in the Monash when outclassed on paper and ran accordingluy but for the most part, she wasn’t too bad in defeat I thought behind In Flight. Dangerous back to this level.

2 Extremely Lucky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the class factor and class will take him a long way. He resumed two weeks back in the Monash where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was solid late. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

8 Tropical House (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to her own age and steps up to the mile after racing at Murray Bridge over 1400m two weeks back. She got a fair way back off the speed but worked home strongly when second to Headphones. Better set up here, she’s hard to beat.

1 Snoopy Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up forever it seems like but he only needs to hold his form to be around the mark. That was the case two weeks ago at Murray Bridge when taking on the older horses and he tried quite hard but just couldn’t quite see it through behind Starts Now. That form surely reads well for this.

6 Big Brute (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at Gawler over 1500m where he attempted to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch at the end when third to Mystic Wonder. Looks the leader and with front end control, is dangerous.

9 Tallapoosa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps with the bog track given her form this time in has come on bog tracks, including an impressive win at Casterton. Last start at Geelong, she was good late from the back without threatening. If within range, she has the finale to take this out.

2 From The Block (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is 2/2 this time in and has to be respected. First up, he won narrowly at Gawler before going to Balaklava where he found firmer footing and made an absolute mess of them, winning by over nine lengths. Good test here but think he measures up.

5 High On Sugar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can take this out for Francis/Kent. He was a total forgive at Murray Bridge two weeks ago where he got six wide in the run and just couldn’t quite get involved. That said, he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Richie D’Amour. Better luck in running, he can take this out.

14 Impending Diamond (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is eligible for much easier but she absolutely swims and with only 51kg on her back, she’s worth an each way ticket. She ran on the Parks track last Saturday and was an eye catcher from the back without threatening behind Lonrodex. Each way for me in an open race.

11 Star Sirius (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here for Team Jolly after racing a fortnight back at Murray Bridge when off speed before being presented clear air and drove hard late, just missing out on the win when third to Fast Bubbles. She’s found positive form, she can go on with it.

8 Pearl Adios (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an Andrew Gluyas trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since March 15 on the Parks track when off speed and just battled in the run to the line behind Royal Fox. Good fresh record and despite spotting them a start, he should be strong late.

9 Moscow Red (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the swimmer here and now she’s found winning form, she appeals. She’s rising 12 years of age and her recent efforts have been very strong, her consistency rewarded when winning at Bendigo. Good record here, she swims, keen each way.

12 Zarkana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another look for the Francis/Kent camp after racing at Murray Bridge a fortnight back when back, four wide no cover and the hard run just told on her late in the piece. Better run in transit, she’s a definite improver.

11 Red Roof (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1500m after resuming over 1400m two weeks back at Murray Bridge. She got back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, I didn’t mind the way she closed off. Her best is good enough to be dangerous.

9 Lomax (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Paul Carey and I am keen on him here. He ran two weeks ago over 1800m at Murray Bridge, getting a fair way out of his ground but rocketed late and just missed out on the win when second to Harley’N’Rose. Bursting to win and he gets his chance.

5 Wine Barron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 2000m after a spank job win at Gawler three weeks ago over 1700m, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. 2000m should be fine, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

13 Shakespeare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 2000m after racing over 1800m two weeks back at Murray Bridge. He got off speed but had good cover and a drag into the race but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Harley’N’Rose. Like him up in trip and his best is good enough.

11 Fieldelo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1050m and back in depth I feel after racing in the Creswick two weeks ago at Flemington when far from disgraced in defeat in a hot race won by Bridal Waltz. Back to 1050m and back to this level, she clearly appeals.

9 Madame Maserarti (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Creswick Final when outclassed on paper but was far from disgraced in defeat behind Bridal Waltz. She does have a touch of quality about her and I do think back in trip is a tick.

3 Colmar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes on the older horses but he is a very genuine animal with a good racing style. He is several weeks between runs since racing over 1250m on the Parks track when on speed and he tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite see it through when second to Ginger Sinner. Good racing style, tough, he’s a must for exotics.

20 Solar Mist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way in the get out. Bain/Taylor trained gelding that ran at the midweeks at Balaklava last time when off speed and chased strongly but didn’t quite have his chance when third to Impending Diamond. Gets in really well after the claim and should be strong late.

1 Caladan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well for Team Jolly and is one of the key threats. He ran over 1000m at Murray Bridge two weeks ago when holding a spot on speed nearer the inside and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to impressive winner Noetzie. Hard to beat against these I say.

3 Up The Den (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Michael Hickmott since racing over 1100m here. He did a stack of work out wide on speed, with no cover, and just felt the pinch late behind Bouncing Beyond. Back a fair way in depth, he can bounce back, especially off a sharp trial.
