13 Kissed By Mist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to break the maiden and she strikes a winnable one here IMO. Her recent runs have come on the Devonport Synthetic, the latest seeing her run third on Cup Day when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat. Gets run of the race from the draw and should be strong late.

11 Talk Like That (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like a rise to 1400m will be fine after racing over 1200m here when keen and wide throughout, with that hard run just telling on her late in the piece. Better run in transit here, I think she’s going well enough to threaten.

1 Arcade Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile here last time when keen behind the speed and that took away something from his finale I thought behind Miles N Miles. Genuine tempo at 1400m, he should relax in the run and be more effective at the end.

3 I’m Chev (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. Just looked in need of the run two back but bounced back hard with a dominant win last time when ridden with intent and he made a mess of them late in the piece. 1400m should be fine and is one of the hardest to beat.

4 Material Madam (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in four career outings and commands respect. Strong winner two back at Hobart before going to 1200m here when doing work to land on speed and despite that early burn, she stayed on really well in defeat. If she has petrol in the tank, she takes beating.

10 Speed Rock (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. He looked in need of the run fresh over 1100m at Hobart before going to 1400m here when off speed and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway and was good in defeat. Hard fit now, maps ideally, a knockout chance.

2 Sh’bourne Midnight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one to beat. Just a bit on the plain side fresh at Hobart before coming here when ridden cold and let down with brilliant change up speed to win and win well. Maps to get a lovely run in transit and hard fit now, he appeals.

1 Rigoletto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after racing over 1400m here two weeks ago where he was near last throughout and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good in defeat. He was a few weeks between runs so with room for improvement, he’s in the mix.

10 Big John (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the 1600m run/form under the belt, which should hold her in good stead here for Adam Trinder. Latest run was two weeks back at this track/distance when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort. Maps to no work and be effective late.

10 Miles N Miles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying this time in and rates highly. She has won two on the bounce, the latest being over this track/distance last time when getting the beaut sit in behind before angling clear and knuckled with purpose late to win. Has that 2100m run under the belt now, good upside, she’s the one for me.

8 Kings On Queens (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is unknown at the trip but is racing as if she’ll be fine. Latest run was over the mile at Hobart three weeks ago where she got off speed and was forced wide on the turn but she ran to the line strongly in defeat when second. If the trip is fine, she’s dangerous.

6 Johnnie Pinch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is around a month between runs since racing over this trip at Hobart when just off the speed and couldn’t really get involved when down the track. Has a good track/distance record and gets in quite well after the claim.

5 Azonto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at the trip but she has a touch of quality on her side and is hard fit after racing in the Thousand Guineas on Sunday where the race shape was against her but she kept finding the line in a hood effort. Like her up in trip and strikes a winnable edition of the Guineas.

2 Likeakalix (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done his recent racing on the Synthetic at Devonport but he has been quite impressive, the latest being a romp and the way he won last time, 2100m looks ideal and is one of the hardest to beat.

6 Halen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one at a big price I could speck. He didn’t disgrace himself two back in the Tassie Guineas over the mile before coming back to 1400m where he found them a bit sharp but was good late. Up in trip I like…doubt he wins but can run top four.

6 Unique Eagle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a really good prospect and a win here likely ensures that next start is a crack at blacktype. Latest run came at this track/distance when giving them a start and a beating in an electric performance. Good test but confident she measures up and wins again.

3 Glory Mission (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is heading in the right direction and is looking to make it three on the bounce, with the last start win seeing him lead throughout and was strong to the line. If he gets front end control, he’ll take running down.

2 Muscle Up (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the most likely to run third. He resumed over 1100m at Hobart where he looked in need of the run and that’s how it panned out behind Anyways Rosie. Fitter and up to 1200m, he should run well.

4 Alpine Wolf (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on top for me. He resumed on the Devonport Synthetic. He got back to near last and chased the speed but loved the way he closed off in defeat behind Durazzo. Better for the run under the belt, he’ll take beating against these.

2 Bello Beau (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since the Conquering when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind The Inevitable. Fresh legs and back to 1200m, his best is clearly good enough to threaten and win.

1 Turk Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. He ran behind Durazzo at Devonport Synthetic when near the speed throughout and tried hard but just lacked the finale to go with them late in the piece. Great record here, not penning him.

4 Geegeeschaser (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning but not a whole lot of confidence here. She ran over 1100m at Hobart last time out where she got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when fourth. 1200m should be fine and strikes a winnable race.

1 Dadandhisgirls (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in three career outings and commands respect for Barry Campbell. Latest run was over 1350m on the Devonport Synthetic when off speed and seemingly going well but for mine, the 1350m may have been a bridge too far. Back to 1200m, he is a leading contender.

2 Loyalty Blues (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds. He resumed at this track/distance where he was on speed and keen in the run but just lacked the finale to go with them late in the piece. Three winners have come out of that race so the form reads well and better for the run, I am not penning him.

8 Martini Blue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the last. He resumed over 1200m here where he paraded like he would improve with the run and that is how it panned out when down the track, beaten 5.5L. He had trialled well leading in and with the run under the belt, he’s the each way play for me.

6 Miss Pebbles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile here two weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating, letting down with purpose late to win and win well. Back to 1400m, I think, is fine, and although she likely spots them a start, she should launch late.

2 Brazen Impact (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good record at Launceston and should be better for the first up run, which came at Devonport Synthetic. He got back in the run and made up decent headway late in the piece without threatening. Better set up here, he’s an improver at odds.

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 8 Martini Blue
