21/6/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Morphettville

9 Sectors (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1050m and with that in mind, I say she is the way to go. Did a super job at this trip fresh before going to 1250m when on speed and just felt the pinch late behind Mystic Wonder. Back to 1050m and fresh legs, she takes beating.

3 Dapper Don (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the right form around him to give this a shake. He ran over this trip at Balaklava last start when near the speed throughout and tried hard but just tired the final 100m behind Caladan. That horse won again last weekend, so the form reads well.

1 Aramoso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a host of chances to break the maiden tag but hasn’t been far away in recent times. He ran over 1250m two weeks back on the Parks track when near the speed and fought on really well in defeat behind Mystic Wonder. Must for exotics.

2 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can bounce back on firmer footing. He found the track too wet two weeks ago on the Parks track and he couldn’t pick his feet up with the weight. Better suited here on firmer footing and his prior efforts were strong.

5 There Goes My Hero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a model of consistency and should be around the mark for Bain/Taylor. He ran fourth to High Society Girl a fortnight back when on speed throughout and did tru hard but just lacked the change up speed to go with them late. His best can see him win. Just needs things to fall into place.

3 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the High Society Girl race from two weeks back. She did work out wide in the run and that effort just told on her late in the piece when down the track. Her best is good enough. Just needs an economical run in transit.

3 Starts Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and he gets a great chance here to make amends for two weeks ago. He was given a 12/10 by Toeroek and looked all over the winner when asked for the effort and was hailed as the winner but couldn’t quite finish the job, nabbed by The Golden Fist. Racing well, strikes a winnable race, has to be respected.

10 Zarkana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday where she got a fair way out of her ground but tracked up and looked to be some sort of threat. She did make up ground but was never really a winning factor. If within range, she has the finale to be dangerous.

2 Sir Randolph (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Andrew Clarken and has to be respected. He has won two on the bounce, firstly coming at Oakbank before repeating the dose, in good style, at Penola. Clearly a harder assignment here, but I think he’s in the mix.

3 Stirrup Cup (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Few weeks between runs since racing over the mile at Sandown where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Taken. Likely spots them a start again but if within range, he has the finale to score.

5 Big Brute… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does he sleep with the light on? Only time will tell. He ran over 1400m two weeks ago on the Parks track when near the speed and loomed to win but was quite one paced in the run to the line behind Synchro. Hard fit, up in trip, back to his own age, he appeals.

7 Allinthetiming (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town for Team Payne off the back of a win at Mildura on May 20 where he rounded them up from the back for a narrow but strong win. He does look a progressive type so I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

6 High On Sugar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win. I didn’t mind riding him with intent last Saturday at Murray Bridge given he was the best horse in the race IMO. He kicked and looked the winner for a long way but was nabbed on the peg by Talkin Italian. I think with a bunny to chase, he’ll be more effective.

4 Sign From Above (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Formerly with Corstens/Larkin, he now finds himself with Phillip Stokes. He is first up, having not raced since March 20 at Kyneton when placing over 1200m behind Miss Mahjong. His recent trial was electric, keen to see how he goes.

10 Aloha Blue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Murray Bridge when wide no cover on speed and while she was entitled to knock up, she kept finding and was good in defeat behind Extra Hot. Better run in transit, she can win.

11 Daisydoo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty fro Justin Pickering and despite taking on the older horses, I think she is the one to beat. She was a gritty winner a fortnight back on the Parks track, finding under pressure to fend them off. Harder here, but hard to knock how genuine she is.

15 Palm Of Jumeirah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout for Phillip Stokes. She ran over 1100m here three weeks ago when leading and giving a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch late behind The Doll. No horse of that quality here, she is right in the mix.

8 Mine All Mine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous back on firmer footing. I think the track was too wet for him two weeks back on the Parks track and he couldn’t quite finish his race off behind Grand Host. Back to this level, firmer footing, he’s an improver.

I had looked at this race originally treating 2 Wolfgang (Bet Now:  $SP.00) as a scratching but it looks like he is running here and with that in mind, I am quite keen. He resumes for Kennewell/Yeomans, having not raced since Oct 26 when down the track in the Red Anchor on Cox Plate Day. Given a good break and his jumpout work has been impressive. Keen.

8 Russian Bobshank (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Murray Bridge. He ran over this trip where he got a fair way out of his ground but I liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Caladan. If within range, he has the finale to win.

11 Sundogg (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 1100m after racing over 1000m two weeks back on the Parks track where he had a decent run in transit and loomed to win but just couldn’t quite get there when third. His best is good enough so don’t dismiss him.

4 Cleitus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play. He ran over 2000m at Casterton last time when on speed throughout and he was as game as ever but just couldn’t quite see it through when second to Trosettee. Good racing style, back to 1800m, he appeals.

11 Harley’N’Rose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over the mile at Murray Bridge last Saturday where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up headway and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Stratum Pride. Like him up in trip and strikes a winnable race.

8 Shakespeare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Hawker Cup where he finished down the track behid Doctor Robert, who ran well in defeat last Saturday, so the form reads well and he was two months between runs so he has upside to come.

7 Lovely Lookin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a tricky gate to overcome but she does appear above average and her last start win was arrogant, albeit in weaker grade than this, but the manner in which she put them away was impressive. Keen to see how she goes against this lot.

14 Starlite Valley (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looked all over the winner a fortnight back on the Parks track and was indeed hailed as the winner, but was nabbed near the peg by Great Maximus. She’s found positive form, she can go on with it.

2 Jacks On Ice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Great Maximus race from two weeks back on the Parks track. He did early work on speed and although he fought hard, he just couldn’t quite see it through and felt the pinch late. Hard fit, good racing style, he’ll be around the mark and is a knockout hope.

BEST BET: Race Seven Number 2 Wolfgang

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 3 Oxford Blue

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 11 Daisydoo
