3 Chergui (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Frosted for James Cummings that is on debut. I liked the way he moved in a trial win at Ballarat last week, running solid enough time and had plenty up the sleeve. Stable have had a relatively quiet start when it comes to their juveniles, but the last couple of weeks, they are producing more and are looking very good, this guy included.

7 Pallaton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Michael Freedman trained son of Wooton Bassett that is on debut. He has had two trials under the belt for start one, the latest coming on the Kenso here over 850m when winning, moving well on speed and running time. Keen to see how he goes.

12 Waverley Road (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an O’Shea/Charlton trained colt that is on debut. This colt has had two trials in readiness for start one, the latest coming at Hawkesbury on Monday over 800m when running a narrow second and moved well enough. I reckon he’ll find 1000m on the short side but should be strong late and is a knockout hope.

8 In Summer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks like she will love the rise to the mile and for mine is hard to beat. She ran over 1500m two weeks ago at Rosehill when off the speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat behind dominant winner Sunchyme. Racing like 1600m will be ideal and she strikes a winnable race.

1 Texas Fireball (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the right form around him to give this a shake. He ran over 1350m at Ipswich last start where he got a fair way out of his ground but loved the way he closed off in defeat when second to Weigall Tiger, a Stakes performer. Hard fit now and up to the mile, class, he rates highly.

6 Coella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a chance at odds. She comes through the Highway two weeks back won by Sunchyme. She got a fair way out of her ground and while she was never a winning threat, she did make up headway and was good in defeat. Racing like 1600m will be okay, she commands some level of respect.

Bludger of a Midway this. Landed with 1 Dr Evil (Bet Now:  $SP.00), a proven Midway performer who comes here off the back of a sharp midweek win at Warwick Farm where he gave them a start and a beating to win impressively. His confidence is up, he maps perfect and although he loses Nash, I am happy to be in his corner.

8 Direct Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little for Theresa Bateup but is holding his form well. Far from disgraced two back on Gong Day at Kembla before going to Rosehill when near the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there when third. Good racing style and with that, I think the mile is okay.

4 General Soho (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds for Paul Perry after racing two weeks back in the Midway at Rosehill where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was good in defeat. He was 1200m to 1500m so he has a better grounding here and should be strong late.

9 Captain Amelia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has returned in just about career best form and is one of the leading contender. She was very good but just ran out of condition fresh on the Kenso before going to the lights at Canterbury where she gave them a start and a beating in an electric performance. Hard fit now, she’ll be strong late and has change up speed.

5 Lulumon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Jason Coyle and is hard to beat. Strong winner at Rosehill two weeks ago, getting better as the race went on and surged the final 100m to get past Drift Net. Hard to knock the way she’s racing and the rise to 1400m should be fine.

3 Terrestar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Team Hawkes. She has been runner up her past two, the latest coming three weeks back at Rosehill where she looked the winner when presented but couldn’t quite get past Redbreast, who kicked on so well. Tricky gate, but commands respect.

5 Inside Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a very progressive galloper for Chris Waller. He debuted over 1250m at Canterbury and I thought there was a fair bit of quality about his win, giving them a start and a beating in a very sharp display. Tick over trial was very nice and he’ll love 1300m on the bigger track.

1 Dawn Service (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is looking to put his hand up here for the Magic Millions so you’d think he’s here to play with that in mind. He hasn’t raced since the Caulfield Guineas when producing an end of prep run, doing too much work and dropped right out behind Private Life. Trialled up very well for the return and has class.

3 Midnight Dynamite (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at 1300m but the stable is flying and he has a good racing style. He comes through the Private Harry race from a fortnight back at Rosehill. He had a suck run in transit and loomed but just couldn’t quite finish the job. He is good enough to threaten.

3 Gilded Water (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could be a rocket. Only time will tell as to how good he is, but his first up win at Kembla at his Australian debut was impressive, getting better as the race went on and was impressive. He’s got all the upside in the world and the rise in trip should only be beneficial. Hard to beat.

5 Be Real (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like he’ll have no issue with 2400m. He won over 2000m at Rosehill a fortnight back and you had to like the way he toughed it out when challenged to fend them off in testing conditions. Maps to do no work and should be around the mark.

2 Casual Connection (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a tough customer for John Sargent that should have no issue with 2400m. Three weeks between runs since a strong win at Rosehill where he got a beaut run in transit under McEvoy and found late when challenged, proving quite strong to the line, suggesting a rise in trip is no issue and off a win, commands respect.

10 Heed The Omens (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can run an improved race. He was 1400m to 1800m a fortnight back at Rosehill when ridden with intent from the outset and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Lenape Vibe. Has that hard run under the belt, which holds him in good stead here.

7 Bright Red (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. She ran over 1500m two weeks back at Rosehill when chasing from off the speed and kept finding but just found one better in promising three year old Shangri La Spring. Hard fit now and up to 1600m, she’s one of the leading contenders.

1 Invincible Spy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is second up from a spell and can improve. Market kept him safe in betting when resuming over the mile at Warwick Farm but after leading, he couldn’t quite see it through and tired late behind Dr Evil. Fitter, and if he gets front end control here, he’s quite dangerous.

3 Cotehele (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Far from disgraced in The Hunter before going to Rosehill where he found a bottomless deck and couldn’t handle the conditions, running last. Firmer deck here and hard fit, he can bounce back.

5 Highlights (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate firmer footing. He found a bog at Rosehill last time and couldn’t pick his feet up in the conditions, finishing down the track behind I’mintowin. Hard fit now, good racing style, his best is more than good enough to take this out.

7 So Risque (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another chance. Total forgive behind The Open at Ballarat where he did work on speed but was forced quite wide on the turn and felt the pinch late in the piece when down the track. Better run in transit, he can bounce back.

7 In Flight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Joe Pride since resuming in the Starlight at Rosehill. She got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but first up at Stakes level, she just lacked the class/quality to go with them but was close up in defeat. Good second up record and fitter, back in grade/depth, she rates highly.

5 Iowna Merc (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to be entertained for multiples. He was plain I thought first up in The Warra before going to Rosehill where he kept chasing and although held late, he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Fire Star. He is talented when right but he’s a hard horse to catch so take him on trust.

9 Nosey Parker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) appeals as a knockout chance chance. He comes through the Midnight Opal race from a fortnight back. He was near the speed throughout and kept chasing Midnight Opal but was no match for the change up speed of that horse. I think with a more genuine tempo and a patient steer, he can bounce back.

8 Little Beginnings (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can bounce back. He was kept very safe in betting two weeks back at Rosehill but for mine, he just didn’t handle the wet track and couldn’t quite pick up late in the piece behind Midnight Opal when fourth. I think on firmer footing, he’s a big improver.

9 Accredited (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is heading in the right direction for Joe Pride. He should have won fresh at Canterbury but had zero luck so Nash took bad luck out of the equation at Warwick Farm, taking him straight to the front, and he didn’t give his rivals a look in, winning well. Hard fit, up in trip, he appeals.

3 Flying Destiny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well and looks to have returned in pretty good order for Michael Freedman after resuming over 1100m at Rosehill a few weeks back when off the speed and kept chasing in a pretty good return I thought behind Eye Of The Fire. I do like him up to 1300m and fitter, good upside, he appeals.
