2 Ghost Walker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good each way gamble to start Cup Day. He ran over 1300m at Goulburn last start when off speed and spotted them a start. He was never threatening but I liked the way he kept chasing in defeat when fourth. Hard fit and rising to 1500m, he’ll only run well.

1 New Pharoah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1500m after racing over 1280m in the CC Qualifier at Muswellbrook when back near last and made up minimal headway behind stablemate Chidiac. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and like him up in trip.

6 Light Foot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at 1500m but has an engine under the hood for Donna Scott. She was keen in the run last start over 1400m at Wagga and I reckon it just took something away from her finale. If she can relax in the run, she’s dangerous.

4 Untethered (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key chance. He beat camels at Ararat last start over 2200m but the manner in which he put them away and how strong he was in the run to the line was quite impressive. No issue running 2400m and despite the tricky gate is one of the leading contenders.

2 Palace Green (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat for Henry Dwyer. Dominant win two back at Naracoorte before going to Cranbourne when back off speed and made up some headway but was never threatening. Like the rise to 2400m and maps to settle much closer in the run.

5 Kodiak Bear (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will love getting to this trip after racing over 1800m at Wagga last time, his first run for Donna Scott, and was really good late from off pace. Jumps sharply in trip but is proven at it and will be strong at the end.

5 Bridie’s Luck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth an each way ticket. She ran over this track/distance on Feb 5 when beaten for early speed and was never really a factor but was solid in the run to the line. She maps to stalk the speed and with the claim, I think she’ll only run well at a price.

6 Sizzleist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Thursday over this trip at Wagga when attempting to lead throughout and gave a decent kick in front but just couldn’t quite see it through when second to Wear The Crown. Good racing style, she takes running down.

8 Justenuffsplash (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Craig Widdison trained filly that resumes. She ended last prep on a high with a win over 1175m here in a maiden. Resumes without a public trial/jumpout but maps ideally and strikes a winnable race.

2 Borjnord (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take a power of beating here. He was big in defeat on debut at Newcastle when wide no cover throughout but kept chasing and kept finding the line in defeat when second. If that hasn’t busted him, surely he’s going to be hard to hold out against this lot.

17 Triumvate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Team Hayes and is dangerous. He had one run for O’Shea/Charlton, back in Jan 2025 when when down the track behind the Stakes performed Karinska. Now with Team Hayes and has looked quite strong in jumpout work so watch betting.

4 Sacred Inferno (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after resuming over 1000m at Canberra where he was beaten for early speed and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up headway and was a definite pass mark. Better for the run, I say he’s in the mix.

10 Blue Monday (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me in what looks a pretty solid 58. Beer/Carpenter trained filly that resumes, ending last prep on a high with a win at Moruya in a maiden. Looks to have trialled well enough for the return and should prove hard to beat here.

3 Marty McFly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a tricky gate to overcome but he was an impressive winner over 1100m at Ararat last start, giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on to score. The gate is awful but if he can get luck, he’s dangerous.

5 Three Musketeers (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1175m after racing over 1300m at Wangaratta last start when just off speed and seemingly had his chance but just whacked late behind the in form Taung. Like him back in trip, maps to do no work, he’s a knockout hope.

1 Beyond Question (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be favourite and frankly, I am stunned he is not. Loved the way he let down to win on debut at Great Western before going to the CS Hayes at Flemington where he ran out of his skin in defeat behind Sixties. Surely that is A1 form for a race like this and really, he only has to hold his form to be taking this out.

4 Jaegers (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1100m at Canterbury where she just found them a bit sharp but kept chasing and was really good in defeat. Like her up to 1400m, can settle near the speed and be strong late.

10 Spread The Love (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Danielle Seib after a win over this trip at Wagga where she was fractious in the gates but she passed the vet check and was strong to the line in winning. Good test here but think she can measure up.

2 Plymouth (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should love getting to 2000m. He ran over the mile in the Blamey last start when getting a beaut run in transit just off speed and was there to win but had no answers late for the very much in form Birdman. That form reads super, hard fit and 2000m, he clearly appeals.

8 Geemes (Bet Now:  $SP.00)…it was hard to miss her Canberra Cup run. She should have won, but Reggie…oh boy he slaughtered her. Collett is back on and hard fit, been set for the race, good upside to come, she clearly appeals.

6 Flying Bandit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be a threat here at odds after racing over 2000m in the Canberra Cup where he wasn’t given the best of steers by Jay Ford and ran his race in patches. If he can get room to move, he’s dangerous at odds.

6 Rumours Abound (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 900m after racing over 1100m at Canterbury where she did far too much early work to lead and folded in the straight, pulling up lame post race. This looks her ideal race. Just needs luck from the gate.

8 One Hard Lady (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Donna Scott trained mare that resumes. Her last run was Dec 31 down the straight at Flemington when looking a tired horse and was never really a factor behind Cavalry Girl. Looks to have trialled well for the return, she’s a key threat.

7 Flying Season (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a lightly raced seven year old that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Sep 21 2024 when a game second at Wagga. Has clearly had his issues but clearly has talent and has trialled well leading in.

BEST BET: Race Six Number 1 Beyond Question

NEXT BEST: Race Four Number 2 Borjnord

LONG SHOT: Race One Number 2 Ghost Walker
