Stays at 1200m which looks ideal, he’ll be out of trouble on speed and is hard fit.
Roughie: 12 Sister Patti (Bet Now: $61.00) ran well on debut behind Downloading before running at the Sunny Coast and sticking on well behind Happy Event. From the Downloading race, she meets that horse 0.5kg better off and from the Sunny Coast race she meets Happy Event 2.5kg better off. Has upside and gets the services of James Orman.

Race Two (12:52) : Kanga Couriers Plate (Class 3) 1800m:
Back Me: 1 Artibai (Bet Now: $3.70) looks the way to go here clearly. He ran in the Provincial Final on Ipswich Cup Day and chased hard when third to Amexed, who franked the form by winning the Caloundra Cup. This really looks his race.
Big Danger: 5 Kasharn (Bet Now: $8.50) ran in the South Grafton Cup last Sunday and worked home very strongly out wide but had to settle for second to the well performed Gold Horizon. He will like the step up in trip and stable is going very well.
Roughie: 10 Eminent Knight (Bet Now: $20.00) rises in grade but gee there was a lot to like about the maiden win at Toowoomba last time out where he spanked his rivals by over six lengths. Looks to have upside and should take some holding out with a lightweight.

Race Three (13:30) : Caltex Eagle Farm Handicap 1400m:
Back Me: 6 Beckham (Bet Now: $3.60) drops miles in grade after contesting the Spear Chief here where he attempted to lead all the way and tired late to run fourth to Tales Of Grimm. Back to 1400m suits and he looks the leader.
Big Danger: 5 Oak ‘N’ Arthur (Bet Now: $8.50) resumed in a small field at the midweeks at Doomben nearly a month back and closed off well in restricted room when second to Nakanai. He showed last time in that he can well and truly stand up and be counted in Saturday class, he runs well second up and he strikes a very winnable race.
Roughie: 8 Our Boy Nicholas (Bet Now: $12.00) resumed on his home track at the Gold Coast a couple of weeks back and was a real eye catcher late when running fifth to Umgeni, beaten under two lengths. He is a two time second up winner, extra distance is ideal and he has won his lone start at Eagle Farm. Sharp improver for sure IMO.

Race Four (14:07) : Variety Queensland Cup 3200m:
Back Me: 4 Murphy’s Delight (Bet Now: $2.60) ran over 2600m at Randwick three weeks back where he got back and made up ground without threatening when third to the handy three year old Not A Gypsy. He did carry 59kg there and the weight carrying factor is one to consider. He’s hard fit, 3200m will suit and he is a leading contender for sure.
Big Danger: 1 Instrumentalist (Bet Now: $7.50) rises up in trip after contesting the Caloundra Cup last start where he did a power of work early on in the run and he actually fought on pretty well I thought when fourth to Amexed. I don’t think the distance will be the issue. The weight would be my worry because he hasn’t won in a long time yet carries the topweight.
Roughie: 3 Tunes (Bet Now: $16.00) also comes through the Caloundra Cup where he sat on speed and dropped out to finish near last. You only have to back to the Autumn and he was a lip of winning the Adelaide Cup. If he shows any signs of that form here, he’d be winning and winning easily. He could be a big improver.

Race Five (14:47) : BOQ Victoria Point Handicap (0MW) 1400m:
Back Me: 15 Monster Of Energy (Bet Now: $8.00) ran here last Wednesday and absolutely bolted in, leading all the way in what was a dominant display after a change of tactics. If those tactics are adopted here, he will take some stopping.
Big Danger: 7 Bracteate (Bet Now: $11.00) is a former Godolphin galloper that is now under the care of Steve O’Dea. Best form is over slightly further, but his Sydney form does read very well for a race like this.
Roughie: 14 Sankara Spirit (Bet Now: $10.00) was well backed to win last time out at Ipswich last time out, halving his price but he was just terrible when down the track behind Blackjack Bella. He is much better than that, and with only 51kg on his back here, he can be a sharp improver.

Race Six (15:27) : Powertrain Plate 1500m:
Back Me: 11 Sagaronne (Bet Now: $6.00) showed glimpses of getting back to her best with a closing fourth in the Daybreak Lover here three weeks back behind Sold For Song. That was the first time she had run well in ages, and she strikes a very winnable race here if she improves off that, because on her previous form, she is simply better than these.
Big Danger: 4 Arthur Le Roi (Bet Now: $8.00) comes through the three year old race at the Sunny Coast a couple of weeks back where he darted back near the inside and dashed through late to get the win in very impressive fashion. He’ll have no issues with the mile IMO and the big track will be right up his alley.
Roughie: 1 Mr Epic (Bet Now: $9.00) comes here through a rich three year old race at Rockhampton during their Carnival where he was well backed in betting and despite being challenged in the straight, he found plenty and got the job done. He was only second up there, so he has good upside and while I doubt he can beat the stablemate, he’ll run well.

First two runs were absolute rippers before he raced at the Sunshine Coast a fortnight back where he seemingly had his chance I thought behind My Quilter. No disrespect to Glen Colless, but Browne back on is a big big tick, he draws well, big track, peak fitness…surely?
Big Danger: 10 Annaman (Bet Now: $9.50) ran third in that One Inch Punch race and his effort was pretty good considering he was only second up there and did look to have a belly on him in the mounting yard. He’ll be better once he gets to 2000m, but even at the mile, I think he’ll be very competitive.
Roughie: 9 Yoho (Bet Now: $23.00) ran over 1350m at Doomben at the midweeks a couple of weeks ago where he ran well but was simply no match for One Inch Piunch. He’ll love the step up to the mile, draws to be out of trouble and should take some beating.
