The Big6 available for punters in Victoria on Wednesday is on races 3-8 at Betfair Park on the Hillside circuit. Read Adam Page’s $20 strategy.
Leg 1 – Maraseem is fresh after a failed staying campaign in Adelaide. Class will go a long way towards a win here with kiwi rider Daniel Stackhouse riding. Sean Baile Mor is in a purple patch at the moment. Ran a solid second behind Tactless at Caulfield and looks well placed with the claim. Our Pride And Joy cruised along and looked set for a win before being pipped on the post. Would have stood her out, but the horse needs a strong rider and I am not sure If Rosie Myers is that. Don’t leave out the two Aquanita runners, Lunacy and Mirakye. Both are racing well at present and will prove hard to beat.
Leg 2 – Got it between two- Justsay Sumthink and Banri Maeve. The former is a swimmer and is always going to be hard to beat in these mares races. Banri Maeve has had the three runs back from a spell, which included a slashing third at Betfair Park last start. Should be cherry ripe for this. Those two should control the race from the front and fight it out.
Leg 3 – This is a metro race? That will do me. This is a very open/ordinary race. Locke’s Choice was ok at Moonee Valley and might improve here in a weak race. If Ferocia is anywhere near right, he’ll make mince meat of these. He is the class horse and is weighted perfectly. Super Swell will lead, but the last 100m will be the major problem. Mr Moxie ran on well on the worst part of the track at Sale last start and could win at odds, but who knows? No confidence here.
Leg 4 – Fieldmaster was very good when resuming. He does have the tag of being a bookies pal. Can he change that here? Rowland caught the eye at Moonee Valley when he attacked the line late. He is looking for further but if it is going to be a slog, I want to be on this one. Vitreous is working up to peak fitness. He has the two runs back and looks ready to show something here.
Leg 5 – Going to be brave and stand out Fashion Black. Resumed on the Synthetic at Geelong and hit the line nicely. Has won second up and on a heavy surface. Drawn out wide, which will help and does have plenty of upside. Pray she wins for us.
Leg 6 – This looks pretty simple. Mr Make Believe wins doesn’t he? Good horse who thrives in the wet and with the 3kg claim for Stackhouse, he ticks all the boxes.
Leg 1: 1, 2, 3, 7, 8
Leg 2: 3, 4
Leg 3: 5, 6, 8, 10
Leg 4: 1, 3, 11
Leg 5: 6
Leg 6: 2
