Night racing continues at Pakenham on Thursday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out six metres for the entire circuit.

3 Onedayon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one to start the meeting. He resumed over 1400m here a few weeks ago and was a real eye catcher from off the speed, closing nicely in defeat when third to Taken. Fitter and up in trip, depth not as deep, keen on his chanes.

7 Flash Of Dallas (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1500m at Geelong. She got into a decent spot in transit off the speed and kept finding the line when second to Frozen Tide. Better set up for her here, she’s in the mix.

4 Queensbury (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a couple of weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Cranbourne where he got into a decent spot and tried hard but just lacked the class and quality when third to Whateley. Up in trip I like, he’s a knockout hope.

2 Bring Forth (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is short enough but there is a reason for that. He looks to have lengths on these. He resumes for Price/Kent, having not raced since Dec 22 at Sale over 1700m when placing behind Nordic Belle, just missing in a blanket finish. Jumpout work has been strong and the depth here isn’t deep.

1 Alpine Fox (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Foxwedge that is on debut for Cindy Alderson. He’s had three jumpouts this time in to get ready for start one, the latest seeing him move well last week over 1000m at Cranbourne. If the fav is off his game, he’ll be there to pick up the pieces.

3 Dual Award (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Shamus Award three year old for Clayton Douglas that is on debut. He’s had a couple of jumpouts this time in to get ready for start one, the latest coming over 1200m and moved well enough I thought. Not sure he wins but is a first four threat.

11 Tetsu Belle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is much better suited here vs the debut over 1000m at The Valley where she found a shifty track and couldn’t pick her feet up late behind Saluted. Better suited here and she had jumped out well prior.

4 Biologics (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Grahame Begg trained filly that is on debut. She is so well bred being out of former class mare Fontein Ruby so she is bred to be her good and her jumpout work indicates she has talent, so watch betting.

6 Mareth (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Harry Angel that is on debut for James Cummings off the back of solid enough jumpout work where she has moved relatively moved well enough to my eye. I’d watch beting and see what it does.

5 Graceful Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good each way gamble. Phillip Stokes trains this daughter of Saxon Warrior, that debuts off extensive jumpout work, with two coming this time in. She has moved nicely to my eye and the stable can get them to fire first up/on debut. Watch betting.

9 Tuscaloosa Gem (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is clearly knocking on the door to win. She has been runner up in both career outings, the latest coming at Mornington where she was wide no cover but loomed to win. Just couldn’t quite get there when second. If there is petrol left in the tank, she can win.

6 Hot Chips (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands near the speed, as seen first up over 1100m at Ballarat when on speed and tried hard but condition just gave way late in the piece. Good racing style…doubt she wins but can run top four.

1 Sioux Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play for Jerome Hunter. She resumed at Mornington where she got stuck wide no cover for the trip and the hard run just told late when fourth. Better run in transit, in well after the claim, she takes beating.

8 Bedtime Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has returned well and is a key threat. All the way first up winner at Seymour before going to Caulfield Heath when off speed and was good late when fourth. More positive ride, she’ll be hard to get past.

4 Calabria Bella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. She ran over 1200m here last time out where she was near the speed, doing work, and tried hard, but just felt the pinch late in the piece. I think if she can get a more economical run, she’s dangerous.

5 Here The Crowd (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat after resuming over 1100m at Warrnanbool where she got back to near last in the run but was tracking into the race and loomed but got held up late and was unlucky. If the breaks go her way, she’ll be hard to hold out.

6 Juggernaut Joan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Puissance De Lune trained mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since Dec7 at Ballarat when leading over 1400m and just felt the pinch late. Reckon she’ll be better suited ridden with a sit and her jumpout work has been quite good.

2 Linkvue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1000m at Mornington. He did early work to land on speed and was there to threaten but just couldn’t quite see it through. I think with a more patient steer, he’ll be more effective.

7 Egerton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Cliff Brown since an electric first up win at this track/distance, getting better as the race went on and was quite dominant in the run to the line. If there is natural upside and no second up syndrome, it could be a case of good luck beating her.

4 Keane Enuff (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a handy gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Jan 8 at Mornington when leading and giving a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late. His best is clearly good enough so watch betting and see what it does.

1 Machinist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver after doing early work on speed at Caulfield Heath last tiem and that early burn just told in the straight behind Grand Larceny. Better run, more economical run, he can win.

6 Fabrice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win. He ran at Echuca on Good Friday when near the speed throughout and presented to win early on in the straight but found one better in Sacramental. Gets in well after the claim and this isn’t a deep contest.

8 Houdini (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. He was formerly with Darryl Cannon but now finds himself with Gavin Bedggood, a stable that is becoming one of the best in the state at improving a tried horse. Market likes him early which is a good lead so continue to watch.

2 Oceans Above (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Simon Zahra since racing over the mile at Cranbourne when off speed and was okay late but did have his chance behind Detroit City. Strong late here and is well in after the claim.

LONG SHOT: Race Four Numebr 5 Grateful Warrior
