2 Portarlington (Bet Now:  $SP.00) debuted three weeks back on the course proper. He was just run off his legs, very raw and new to the caper, only getting warm late in the piece. Better for the run, had trialled super prior, he can run a much improved race.

4 Churchill Rose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on debut for Andrew Gluyas. She has placed in both jumpouts and for the most part, has moved well. Stable can find a nice juvenile so I’d watch betting and see what it does.

3 Samstorm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Dylan Caboche trained colt that debuts. He has had a couple of Morphettville jumpouts and hasn’t looked too bad to my eye. Market will be the guide but I think he has the talent to run well.

1 Beautiful Jewel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Travis Doudle, having not raced since Sep 27 at this track/distance when placing behind the very much in form Watadeel, trying hard from near the speed but couldn’t quite finish the job. If she’s fit and firing, she has to be hard to beat.

5 Sea Of Lights (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. She ran over 1400m here last Saturday where she got a fair way back off speed and kept chasing without threatening behind stablemate Wild Winner. Like the rise in trip for her and this isn’t a deep race.

6 Saint Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) took a little while to break the maiden tag but that changed last start when a dominant winner at Murray Bridge, lapping up the 1400m after sitting on speed and she made a mess of them late in the piece. Confidence is up and she does strike what appears to be a winnable race.

5 Common Interest (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good three year old for Team Jolly and is one of the hardest to beat after his two career outings. He knuckled down with purpose to win on debut at Balaklava before going to the course proper here four weeks ago when on speed and fought on well when a close up second to Golden Horizon. Fresh legs, clearly has ability, he’ll do me.

1 Whiskey Joe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town off the back of a debut win at Sale over 1200m when leading throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good test here, but think he runs well.

2 Bootlegger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1250m after resuming over 1100m two weeks back on the course proper. He was wide no cover throughout yet kept finding the line and was game in defeat. Better for the run, up in trip, he appeals.

3 Nasho (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will attempt to lead throughout, as seen last Saturday over 1250m here. He ran along in front and gave a good sight but just felt the pinch late. That was his first run in seven weeks so good upside/improvement, he appeals.

2 Dual Pressure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back a fair way in grade/depth after racing in the Gawler Cup when thrown in the deep end but I thought he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Air Assault. Much better suited at this level, he appeals.

1 Prince Jofra (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came in the Subzero on Oaks Day at Flemington. He just looked in need of the run when down the track behind Getafix. Loves the track/distance, I am not penning him.

2 Beauty Rising (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat first up for Phillip Stokes. She resumes, having not raced since July 5 at Gawler when on speed and tried hard but just tired late when fourth to Nurys. Previous track/distance winner and looks to have trialled well for the return.

7 Kersee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since resuming at Murray Bridge when off speed and worked home strongly when second to Angel Torque. Better for the run and up in trip, good upside, she takes beating.

5 Swiftie Harriet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a forgive from two weeks back on the course proper here when wide no cover on speed throughout and that hard run just told on her late in the piece behind Mystic Wonder. Better luck in transit this time around, she’s dangerous.

3 Guru Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is creeping up in the relative weights but he just looks better than these, again. He has won three on the bounce, the latest being two weeks ago over 2000m on the course proper where he wanted to veer out under pressure once again but he had miles on them. Extra trip should be fine, he’s clearly the one to beat.

2 Yuri Royale (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Guru Warrior a fortnight back. He sat just off the speed, seemingly getting every chance, and tried hard, but just lacked the quality to go with the winner. The trip should be okay and he does save his best for this track.

9 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a big flop on Melbouren Cup Day over 2500m on the course proper here. I was quite keen on his chances but he didn’t fire a shot at all and was very plain late in the piece behind Ambitious Creek. Prior efforts were sound…doubt he wins but can run top four.

8 Capitalex (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the hardest to beat for Phillip Stokes after racing over 1050m two weeks ago on the course proper here when getting a fair way out of his ground but finished off strongly late in the piece when second to Hot Statement. Like him up in trip and this isn’t a strong race.

5 Ginger Sinner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Oct 11 at Murray Bridge when just off speed and tried hard but found one better in Streetcar Fury. Fresh legs and rising to 1250m I find interesting but he looks talented.

1 Texan Windstorm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) tends to save his best for the Parks track so he’s a knockout hope. He resumed on the course proper two weeks back when seemingly in need of the run and that’s how it panned out behind Mystic Wonder. Not sure he wins, but could sneak a first four spot.

1 Grinzinger Bishop (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a tough winner over 1800m on Cup Day on the course proper, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win impressively. Good racing style and has found winning form, so he’s in the mix.

5 Shisuta Bo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and she gave a strong kick from the front but had no asnwers late for Falaise. Front end control, she commands respect.

8 The Last Dance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. Formerly with Darryl Carrison, he’s now with Garret Lynch, a trainer which is very good with a tried horse. He is better suited over slightly further but 1550m fresh does signal intent so watch betting.

14 Si Senora (Bet Now:  $SP.00) in the get out. Team Jolly trained three year old that resumes, having not raced since July 12 when placing behind subsequent multiple Stakes winner Ferivia. Went like a rocket in a recent trial win, maps handy, thrown in after the claim…keen.

6 Bristler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a short course specialist and appears well suited here. He ran over 1050m two weeks ago on the course proper when leading and he gave a strong kick from the front but was nabbed late by Hot Statement. His racing style is suited to the Parks track so I say he’s right in the mix.

7 High On Sugar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Francis/Kent trained gelding that resumes. He teased to win races when last in work but just kept finding a couple better or bad luck. He’ll likely spot a start but if they overdo it in front, he’ll launch late.

BEST BET: Race Nine Number 14 Si Senora

NEXT BEST: Race Six Number 3 Guru Warrior

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 1 Grinzinger Bishop
