1 Regulated Affair (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Chris Waller trained juvenile that is three weeks between runs since racing over 1200m at Randwick where the race shape was against, he was flat footed, but ran through the line strongly. Like him up in trip and a tick over trial was quite good.

3 Namaste (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at 1400m but with a good racing style, he’s around the mark. He ran over 1300m here a fortnight back when near the speed throughout and he tried hard but just lacked the change up speed to go with them late in the piece behind Zebra Finch. Front end control, he’ll take running down.

10 Swift Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice horse who can run an improved race for Les Bridge. He ran two weeks back here where he tried to make a sustained run from off the speed but given the race shape, he was never going to sustain it and felt the pinch late. Has that 1300m run under the belt now, which holds him in good stead.

9 Plentitude (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win a Highway and I think he gets his chance. You can easily make a case to say he wins the Highway three weeks ago at Randwick if he got clear air but he was badly held up at the wrong stage before eventually getting clear and was strong late. 1400m, clear air, he’s the one.

3 Mulvader (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Cam Crockett. He ran in the Highway a few weeks back at Scone when getting off speed and came with a well timed run but couldn’t quite get there when second to Fiorsum Fred, who went within a lip of winning the Gunnedah Cup, so the form reads super and this isn’t a deep Highway.

19 Salute Again (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He has placed his past two, the latest being over 1400m at Wagga when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Smart Poppy. He has run well at Highway grade before so don’t ignore him.

16 Miss Spacegirl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning but not a whole lot of confidence. She ran over 1200m at Kembla last Tuesday where she got off speed and worked home with purpose when second to My Shalom. She’s racing really well at the moment and this isn’t a deep Midway.

7 Oakfield Badger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is suited back up to 1200m. He ran over 1100m in the Midway two weeks back here. He got off speed and chased with purpose but couldn’t quite get there. Like him back up in trip…doubt he wins but can run top four.

1 Monte Kate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. She was a gritty winner of the Midway two back at Gosford before going here where she got off speed and seemed to have her chance but she was far from disgraced in defeat. 1200m at this level, I think, is okay…she can threaten.

11 Tasoraay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Kris Lees after an arrogant first up win during the Scone Carnival where he led throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win impressively. Upside/improvement, extra 100m is fine, hard to beat.

3 Hell To Pay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came at the midweeks at Canterbury where he looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. 1550m back to 1400m no issue, leading contender.

6 Don’t Forget Jack (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Team Archibald. Strong first up winner at Hawkesbury before racing here two weeks back where he was on the plain side and never got involved behind King’s Secret. Hard fit now and up in trip, he can improve.

9 King’s Secret (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat after his win a fortnight back. What I liked about the win is that he knuckled down with purpose late and dug in when required to get the job done. He’s bounced back into winning form, he can go on with it.

2 Codetta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading chance. Team Freedman trained filly that resumed over this track/distance two weeks ago when off speed and chased strongly in the straight but couldn’t quite get there when second to King’s Secret. Fitter, good upside to come, she rates highly.

10 Martini Mumma (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. She comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since April 26 at Randwick when first up, sitting four wide no cover for the trip and tired late behind Memoria. She is a good class horse when right so expect expect big improvement.

6 Little Contreau (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win for Joe Pride and strikes a winnable race. He ran two weeks ago here when off speed and worked home strongly, just failing to get there when a close up third to Edited By. He’s got that 1500m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.

10 Pure Alpha (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found positive form and he can go on with it. He ran second to Edited By a fortnight back here. He got into a decent spot in transit and loomed to win and get there, but found one better, just. He can build off that and threaten.

3 Northern Eyes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for exotics. He ran fourth two weeks back at Rosehill where he was on speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when a close up fourth to Edited By. Good racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

11 Snack Bar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1300m after having a mini break prior to racing over 1200m at Caulfield a fortnight back when off speed and did seem to have his chance but he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Big Swinger. Like him up in trip, good upside to come, he can threaten.

5 King Of Roseau (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix. Peter Snowden trained three year old that ran three weeks ago at Randwick when struggling on the bog track and couldn’t pick his feet up late in the piece behind Spione. Firmer footing helps and prior form was sound.

8 Crafty Eagle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1300m after racing over 1200m two weeks back here. He got back off speed and kept chasing in the straight but couldn’t quite get there behind Kerguelen. hard fit now and up to 1300m, he’s in the mix.

13 Bacio Del Mist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an absolute beauty for Team Curtis and 2400m should be fine. She was one of the runs of the race in defeat two weeks back in the Lord Mayors Cup where she got back, and wide, but she kept on and kept finding the line in defeat. If that hasn’t busted her, she can win.

1 Changingoftheguard (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the best horse in the race. Just a matter of where he is at. He hasn’t raced since Sep 28 when contesting the Colin Stephen here when leading and giving a decent kick but just felt the pinch late behind First Light. If he brings his best, he goes close.

2 Sir Lucan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a big improver. He was too bad to be true when resuming in the Lord Mayors Cup here and was never really a factor, seemingly struggling on the wet ground behind Touristic. Like him up to 2400m, firmer footing, he’s dangerous.

8 Cormac T (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard fit now and getting to 2000m, he takes beating after racing over 1800m here two weeks ago when off speed and although the sit/sprint set up wasn’t really to his liking, he stayed on and was sound in defeat. Like him up to 2000m, hard fit, he’ll be strong late…rates highly.

11 Assailant (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has good upside to come and has returned well. He resumed over 1550m at Canterbury when on speed throughout and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through behind Hell To Pay. Good upside, good racing style, he’s in the mix.

13 Awesome Wonder (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for O’Shea/Charlton, having not raced since Coast Day at Gosford when down the track behind Asgoodassobergets. Tick over trial was good and prefer her on the bigger track. Dangerous for sure.

12 Totoka (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is sneaky flying for Paul Perry and I think she is a good each way gamble. She ran over 1200m here two weeks ago when off speed and despite being nearer the inside, she kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat. Like her up in trip and this is a winnable race.

11 Sacred Rocks (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented mare for Ciaron Maher that comes here off the back of a first up win at Sale where she looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. Good test here but confident she can measure up.

7 Drift Net (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Randwick. She attempted to lead throughout and she tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through and felt the pinch late behind Miss Kim Kar. Like her back in trip and I reckon she’ll be better with a bunny to chase.

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 13 Bacio Del Mist
