A bumper ten event program has been set down for Randwick this Saturday, headlined by The Ingham (1600m). Weather is fine, track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

9 Waku Waku (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a promising mare for Team Archibald that can keep winning. She got better as the race went on when winning three weeks ago at the Sunny Coast, proving quite strong in the run to the line. She seems to love big tracks so Randwick is ideal and I think she can measure up.

4 Hyperbolic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here for Brad Widdup after an impressive win at Rosehill two weeks ago over 1400m, getting better as the race went on and was quite dominant in the run to the line. She was only second up there so with good room for improvement, she is one of the top seeds.

3 Editing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Ciaron Maher. She ran over 1400m at Kembla a few weeks back when off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when second to all the way winner Midnight Dynamite. Racing well, deserving of a win, she appeals against these.

1 Massira (Bet Now:  $SP.00) appeals back to Highway grade after resuming in a solid benchmark race at Kembla three weeks ago when five wide the trip and the run just couldn’t be sustained when down the track behind Spywire. Much better suited at this level and with a more economical run in transit, he’ll take holding out.

15 Madrina (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m for Nick Olive after racing over 1200m three weeks back at Kembla in a benchmark race against the Mares when struggling on the wet ground and was never really a factor behind Weeping Woman. Back to 1000m and this level, firmer deck, she’s dangerous.

5 King Larry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Wayne Wilkes. He resumed over 1100m at Scone when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight when second to Cresta Run. Back to a fast run 1000m, he’ll sit off speed and launch late.

21 Mailata (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take a power of beating here for Bryce Heys. Strong winner two back at Gosford before going to Rosehill when off speed and chased strongly without threatening behind a good horse in Lyles. He appeals against these.

If he gets the breaks I think 2 Alabama State (Bet Now:  $SP.00) goes close. If he got the breaks a few weeks ago at Rosehill, I dare say he win, but it ended up being a nightmare watch when badly held up late, seemingly full of running. He’s back on track and should take beating here.

4 Zaragoza (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1200m after racing over 1000m three weeks ago at Kembla when off speed and was good late without threatening behind impressive winner Spywire. Fitter and up in trip, he commands respect.

I think you can easily make a case that 4 Snack Bar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should have won two weeks ago at Rosehill. He just got hampered early on by the eventual winner Lyles, lost a spot in the run as well as momentum. Yes, had his chance in the straight, but I think you can argue he wins. Off that effort, he takes beating here.

2 Axius (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Ciaron Maher trained gelding that resumes after ending last prep on a high with a midweek, and an impressive one at that, on the Kenso. On paper, just one soft trial for the return, but with this stable, I am sure he’s had a jumpout or two elsewhere. Market will be the guide but on form, he commands respect.

7 Huon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect. Richard Litt trained gelding that ran three weeks back at Kembla. He landed on speed and did try hard but just couldn’t quite see it through and tired late behind Applaud. Firmer deck, more patient ride, he can win.

2 Elio (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run in the Max Lees. The market said he wasn’t there to play and ran accordingly but I thought he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Seeiaye. Better suited here at 1000m, can settle forward, he’ll run an improved race.

1 Bohemian Rhapsody (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was the eye catcher on debut in the Inglis Banner on Stakes Day at Flemington. He was tardy to begin but kept chasing and was quite good in defeat when third to Calamari Ring. Better for the run, tick over trial was strong, he appeals.

7 Regal Hustle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a big improver I say. She debuted in the Max Lees Classic where she got to last from the wide gate and was never really a factor behind Seeiaye, but did make up headway late. Tick over trial was solid and has a gate to settle much closer.

6 Unlimited (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat. He has been kept on the fresh side since racing at Newcastle where he was down the track behind Sun God but got back on a day where up/in was more prevalent as the day went on. Tick over trial was quite good and with a more positive ride, takes beating.

9 Rotagilla (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Chris Waller and commands respect after a win a fortnight back over this trip at Rosehill, knuckling down with purpose late when asked and was strong to the line in winning. Harder here, but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

5 Private Legacy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m for Greg Hickman after racing three weeks back at Kembla over the mile. The trip and ground wasn’t really to her liking but she kept on and was pretty good late in the piece.

1 Asterix (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning but not really a race I want to get involved in. He has been given a mini freshen up since winning The Beauford, getting a 12/10 by Collett and in a driving go, finished best to score. Liked a tick over trial from him last week and now he has a win on the board, he can go on with it.

3 Future History (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the ATC Cup from two weeks ago where he attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late behind Major Beel. Back up in trip, good racing style, he’ll take running down.

2 Huetor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous with his best. He got too far back in the ATC Cup and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good late. Like him up to 2400m and if within range, he has the finale to take this out.

The each way bet here, if the forecast is right, is 2 Duke De Sessa (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Caulfield Cup winner from last year who was enormous when resuming in The Gong, getting off speed and was held up at times but loved the way he closed his race off in defeat behind Gringotts. If the forecast is right, this track will be wet, he’ll be strong and I am hoping now he’s fitter, he can be ridden with more intent.

1 Gringotts…(Bet Now:  $SP.00) what a star he is. He was in the worst ground in The Gong, he had to lump 61kg…and he still made a mess of them in an outstanding performance. He failed in this race last year but that was at the end of a long prep whereas this time in, I don’t think it’s been as brutal for him. Has to be given serious respect.

16 Amor Victorious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) faced mission impossible in The Gong, attempting to lead throughout. He gave a decent sight but was a beaten horse on the turn and struggled in the conditions. Trialled like a rocket prior, I am not dismissing him.

I like 10 Brave One (Bet Now:  $SP.00) as a horse for Team Hawkes. To the eye, just a win at Newcastle, but was ridden to suit the pattern of the day and he was too classy. I think he’ll be dynamic being ridden with a sit and off a good speed, he can really launch late.

4 Fire Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented horse when right for Peter Snowden. He last raced on Hunter Day at Newcastle when off speed and worked home strongly late when second to Brave One. Tick over trial was pretty good and he’ll be strong at the end of 1200m.

3 Barber (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a big price two weeks back in the Starlight but gee he rocketed late from the back, charging to the line when second to Flying For Fun. If within range, I think he has the finale to take this out and a win wouldn’t shock at all.

14 Amreekiyah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a great bet here. Just had one soft trial into her return at Kembla three weeks ago where she just found them a bit sharp over 1200m but she kept finding the line and was good late. Fitter and up in trip, firmer footing, she’ll run a beauty.

3 Yes Lulu (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. Sprouted wings to win fresh at Rosehill before going to Kembla where she got back off speed and just took too long to wind into her work behind Midnight Dynamite. Back on a firmer deck, she appeals.

13 Invader Zim (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. He ran a few weeks back on Gong Day at Kembla when getting off speed before coming towards the outside fence and did try hard but just felt the pinch late. Hard fit, firmer track, he can run a much improved race.
