A bumper nine race program has been set down for the Sunshine Coast this Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

All you can do is win and that is what 4 Femme Fatale (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done in two career outings, both over this track/distance, with sustained speed from the front coming to the fore. Has she beaten much? I am saying no, but she’s got the right racing style and has shown a bit of ticker each time to fend them off. Last bit will test, but she’ll give herself every chance.

3 Spirit Of Brodie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has home track advantage and commands respect. He didn’t do a bad job in two runs during the Autumn before being spelled. Resumed at this track/distance where it was a case of better race sense winning out, with him running straight and true to the line in winning while Ser Joh threw it away. Good racing style, he’ll give a sight and always respect Kendrick runners at the Sunny Coast.

6 Mishani Ambitious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the speed and give a sight. She was an alarming betting drifter when resuming at this track/distance but nobody told her that, with sustained speed coming to the fore, leading throughout and kicked strongly to fend it off and win. The end of 1000m at this level will test her, but with her racing pattern, she’ll give herself a sight.

Bludger of a race. Hard fit and back on the home deck, for the sake of a tip, on top is 2 So Dapper (Bet Now:  $SP.00). He ran over the mile at Ipswich two weeks ago where he did a bit too much work on speed and felt the pinch on the turn, tiring late to finish down the track behind Mississippi Prince. He maps to get run of the race, whether leading or stalking Scarlet Tufty. Either way, I think he only runs well.

1 Stuck With You (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be strong at the end and is one of the leading contenders. He ran in a Grafton Cup Preview at Murwillumbah last time over 2000m and was pretty good in defeat with the 63.5kg impost when second to Pepper’s Ghost. Back in trip tells me this is a prep run for the Grafton Cup, but he’ll be strong at the end and bigger track is a tick.

3 Blacklog (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for wider multiples. He ran in the Mississippi Prince race from two weeks back at Ipswich and he ran his usual honest race, getting back and running on well enough without threatening. Has won up to 2200m so 1800m here is no issue. Horrible winning strike rate but is usually around the mark.

1 Be Water My Friend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. He ran over this track/distance just under two weeks ago where Du Plessis rode him with intent, finding the front, getting control and the race was over from a long way out, bolting up to win impressively. Is that the new way to ride him? Potentially. Either way, he’s going to take beating.

6 Enterprise Mia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an O’Dea/Hoysted trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since Feb 11 at Doomben when producing an end of prep run when down the track behind Tilianam. She can sprint well fresh, she likes racing at the Sunny Coast and the recent trial to get ready for the return was a good piece of work. Keen to see how she resumes.

11 Zingalong (Bet Now:  $SP.00) saves his best for the Sunny Caost and with a good racing style, I think he has to be respected. He is a 1000m horse so stretching to 1200m is a slight query but he’ll give himself every chance off the back of a strong win over 1000m here last start when leading throughout and showed good ticker late to fend them off. Last bit will test, but could pinch a first four spot.

1 Golden Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has won at 1200m previously but he is clearly a 1000m horse IMO at this stage of his career so back to this trip and back to a track he is 2/2 at, it could be a case of good luck beating him. Four weeks between runs since contesting the Queensland Day where he was near the speed throughout and battled away pretty well in defeat behind red Card. Back to 1000m, fresh legs, he’s a good thing.

13 Vodka Martini (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Kelly Schweida trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Jan 21 at Doomben when near the speed and stuck to the task quite gamely in defeat when second to Busting. Been given a good break and with a sharp trial win under the belt, 50kg after the claim, it’s easy to see why he’ll be popular.

4 Bring Me Kash (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a short course animal as well and loves the Sunny Coast. Track/distance winner from just over two weeks back. He was outside the speed throughout and moving well to my eye before being clicked up and he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win well. Last bit will test, but he’s another that is 1000m horse in a 1000m race.

14 Atlantic Eagle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) saves her best for the Sunny Coast and back to 1400m, fresh legs, I think she can run a much improved race at a likely decent price. Dominant win over the mile here two back in a moderate race before going to a harder race back on May 6 and just found them a bit sharp when down the track behind Alburq. Back to 1400m, I think she’ll take beating against these.

2 Tick Tock Queen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is placed to advantage for the first time this prep. She was a surprise winner in The Gateway last year which meant she had a free ticket into the Stradbroke. She actually didn’t do a bad job in the big race three weeks ago behind Think About It. That surely has to read well for a benchmark 78 race. Commands respect.

4 Safework (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. Five weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Eagle Farm where he was back in a sit/sprint so was never really a factor behind Antino, but he did find the line well and clocked decent enough late splits. Fast run 1400m looks right up his alley and if he’s within range, he’s good enough to blouse them.

1 Luncies (Bet Now:  $SP.00) picks himself here. Kris Lees trained gelding that is on the seven day back up after winning the Tatts Cup last Saturday at Eagle Farm. Yes, it was a moderate field he beat, but it wasn’t exactly brutally run. He sat out the back and really, it was just a matter of Clark pushing the button and once he did, away he went and he was dominant. See no reason why he can’t win again.

8 Zoumon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and give them something to chase. He did that two weeks ago at Rosehill in the McKell Cup and the end result was an all the way win under Clark. He was there to be beaten by Bold Mac but he just kept finding under pressure to fend them off and get the job done. He’ll find the top again, get some form of control and prove hard to run down.

4 Regal Lion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here off a second up Ipswich Cup win so you’d like to think there is good upside/improvement to come. They slapped the Blinkers on him in the Ipswich Cup and the end result was a strong win from off the speed, where it became survival of the fittest, and that is indeed what he was. 2400m should be no issue and you’d like to think he has upside.

13 Knight’s Choice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a horse I have had time for since pretty much day one. Tragedy beaten at Ipswich and since then, he has won three on the bounce, the latest coming last Wednesday at Doomben where he gave them a start and a beating in an impressive display over the mile, proving to be strong late. IMO, he looks an ideal candidate to head to Hong Kong but confident he measures up here.

2 Soothsayer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks prepped right up for this. Three weeks between runs since racing in the Gunsynd when just off the speed throughout and kept finding the line late when a close up third to Rediener. Tuned up with a sharp trial win last week at the Gold Coast and he is only fourth up, so you’d like to think there is good upside to come.

4 Grebeni (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very promising animal for Ryan/Alexiou that should take beating. He has been dominant this time in, winning three on the bounce, with the last two wins coming over 1800m at Rosehill. Each time he has been strong at the end so back to 1600m is no issue and really, he only has to hold his form to go close.

3 Munhamek (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems to be enjoying the Queensland sun and no reason why he can’t put another win on the board. Outstanding winner of the Spear Chief before backing up a week later in the Wayne Wilson at WFA and I thought he ran a very credible race in defeat when second to a future Group l horse, Antino. Away from WFA, hard fit, only has to hold his form to just about be winning.

14 Aureus Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) wouldn’t have looked out of place in the Tatts Tiara last Saturday so with that in mind, I think she has to be rated highly here. Her Dane Ripper effort was absolutely enormous from the back, rocketing to the line late and clocking some of the best late splits of the meeting. Off that, 1400m is fine and stable is going well. Definite winning chance.

9 Vespertine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout. Grahame Begg trains this gelding who is third up from a spell. I thought he ran very well last Saturday in the Healy where it was a race not really run to suit and he closed off nicely. Hard fit, up in trip, he appeals.

13 Reliable Ruby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is absolutely flying for Chris Munce and has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat. She has won her past three, the latest win coming over 1050m at Doomben where she produced a brilliant finale from near last, launching late out wide to finish over the top and win. Loves racing at the Sunny Coast, good speed in front, she’ll get her chance to launch over the top.

7 Red Rubi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs for O’Dea/Hoysted since resuming at Eagle Farm in the Lightning Handicap where the market said she was there for a prep run and that’s how it panned out, finishing down the track behind Petronius. She has an excellent second up and saves her best for the Sunny Coast so I think she can run a much improved race.

14 You’ll Be Mist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loves racing at the Sunny Coast and always has to be respected when racing here. Just did a little bit too much work on speed when racing here last time and just couldn’t quite get there when third to King Klaus, a noted short course specialist. Not sure she’s good enough to beat some of these but for wider exotics, can certainly entertain him.
