BossBet Review

BossBet is one of the new bookmakers in the Australian wagering landscape, having launched in January 2022 and has been created to “provide punters with a fun, reliable, easy to use betting service that focuses on experiences and customer engagement”.

The first point I’d make is that I’ve never heard of them until I came across their website and app. Both are good, as is the case with all bookmakers that use the BetMakers technology, but in terms of promoting themselves, and I’m referring to social media, they are near non existstent. I can’t find a Twitter page for them, likewise Facebook, so in that regard, it’s as poor as I’ve seen.

The brand itself of BossBet is good. It has that Sportsbet look about it with a blue background with the yellow words and red outlines, so it stands out. They get a tick there compared to some of these new wagering operators who haven’t done much thinking with their logo/brand.

They are 100% Australian owned and operated, which is another positive, so the money punters gamble stays in Australia and won’t be going overseas, unlike some of the other major betting agencies.

The interesting part is their promotions. They have good bonus back offers across the racing codes and sporting markets. But what is interesting is on their ‘About Us’ page. They say that they are going to provide competitions to win “once in a lifetime experiences”. Again, as to what they are, who knows given the lack of public profile. This is something that would be quite popular, as was the case back in the day when TAB and BetEasy had rewards.

Their racing markets are strong, and the odds stack up really well compared to the new betting agencies, notably betting on certain international meetings that the TAB and other major bookmakers don’t provide. The sporting markets are on the thin side, which is disappointing given they have been in operation for over nine months. A good example of this is the NRL Preliminary Final between the Panthers and Rabbitohs. They only have 34 market options available for the game. Compare that with Sportsbet, who have over 150 markets, and with the Same Game Multi being a popular betting options, the number of markets do need to increase.

Overall, this bookie has potential to be very good. But in todays age, it’s all about promotion and building up your profile and brand. From what I can see, it’s at the bottom of the barrell. The site layout is good, the colours are a stand out, but they just need to improve their profile. Build it up, promote it heavily and they’ll shoot up the rankings.

Should I Bet with BossBet?

Overall Bossbet really does not offer punters anything more than bookies such as Neds or Ladbrokes who we would definitely recommend punters bet with instead but if you are looking for a new bookie we would recommend swiftbet, Palmerbet or PlayUp.

Should I bet with BossBet?

BossBet is one of the leading online bookmakers in Australia and we highly recommend them for all horse racing and sports betting. Their desktop site and mobile app make it simple to place a bet on any race or sporting event. View our full BossBet review here.

Do BossBet offer a sign-up bonus?

No. BossBet do not offer new customers a sign-up bonus. New legislation prevents bookmakers giving new customers incentives but that does not mean you should not bet with BossBet.
