The Australian jockey, chasing his seventh championship, widened his lead in the current standings with a treble, bringing his seasonal tally to 91 victories.
Despite this achievement, Purton remains focused on surpassing Whyte’s record of 1,813 wins.
Meanwhile, trainer Caspar Fownes is on the brink of saddling his 1,100th Hong Kong winner, trailing only John Moore, John Size, and Tony Cruz in the ranks of top trainers.
