Kitty Rose is set for a trip to France following her impressive second-place finish in the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes at Newmarket.
The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained filly was beaten by Al Musmak by 2 1/4 lengths over 1600m.
Jockey Oisín Murphy was full of praise for Kitty Rose’s effort.
“She was very relaxed. She broke well and I was happy to let her go forward a little bit,” Murphy said.
“Travelled super and when she came under pressure she found all the way to the line, particularly when she made the rising ground.
“She made ground on the winner again and I couldn’t pull her up after the line. She has done well physically. She’s a filly that’s improving.
“You should be very proud of the effort. She’s doing very well.”
The stable has confirmed that a Group 2 race at Deauville in France is likely to be Kitty Rose’s next race.
