Watch: Jockey fined $320,000 for excessive use of whip

Jockey Mike Smith has been fined more than $320,000 AUD for excessive use of the whip in the $20m Saudi Cup on runner-up Midnight Bisou.

Midnight Bisou finished second to Maximum Security in the richest race in the world the $20m Saudi Cup which was raced on Sunday morning AEDT.

Smith rode Midnight Bisou who won $3.5m USD ($5.4m AUD) for second place but he was found to have over used the whip during the race meaning his percentage (10%) of the prize money is forfeited costing him over $320,000 AUD.
