Grand National winner Ballabriggs is one of 12 entries in Saturday’s Premier Chase at Kelso.
The Trevor Hemmings-owned gelding, trained by Donald McCain, used the race as a stepping stone to Aintree glory last season – although he met with defeat at the Borders track when second to Skippers Brig.
Ballabriggs also holds entries on the same day in the Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster and the Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury.
Malcolm Jefferson’s According To Pete, already the winner of the Rowland Meyrick and the Peter Marsh Chases this season, could chase yet another decent prize.
The two powerhouse stables are represented, with Paul Nicholls giving Aerial the option and Nicky Henderson having entered Master Of The Hall.
James Ewart’s Sa Suffit may revert to fences, while two former Howard Johnson inmates, Abbeybraney, now with George Bewley and the John Wade-trained Door Boy, could also clash.
Auroras Encore, Ballycolin, Benny Be Good, Tartan Snow and Waterski complete the entries.
