30/10/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Sha Tin

Eight races will be run and won under the lights of Sha Tin this Thursday, where the depth looks pretty solid across the program for the all dirt meeting.

2 View All Things (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top in the opener but not really a race I want to get involved in. He ran over this track/distance a few weeks ago when not pulling up 100% post race, getting off speed and just whacked late behind Precision Goal. Back to Class 5 I like and big tick that Purton rides.

4 Courier Magic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was the real eye catcher when resuming a fortnight back at Happy Valley over the mile. He got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. Loses Purton but looks to have returned well and strikes a winnable race.

5 Yee Cheong Raider (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1200m here. He got off speed and just whacked late in a somewhat plain finale. Has good upside to come and his best is more than good enough.

6 Lucky Blessing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door and should take beating here. He ran over 1400m here last start when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick from the front but the end of 1400m just couldn’t quite see it through when second to Double Show. Back to 1200m, on speed racing style, he’ll take beating.

3 Notthesillyone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run well at the track/distance previously and looks to have an ideal map in his corner. Few weeks between runs since a fourth to Daily Trophy when near the speed and fought on really well in defeat. Positive ride, he’s a threat.

9 Excellent Daddy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was big odds when resuming over 1400m here. He got back in the run and failed to get involved in a pretty plain finale. His best is good enough to be a knockout chance so don’t dismiss.

11 He Was You (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned well and for mine, he has to be top seed. Big return from him at this track/distance when on speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win impressively. Gets in well after the claim, will press forward…takes beating I say.

5 Beauty Thunder (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after a win over 1000m at Happy Valley last start when getting a sweet sit in transit behind the speed before angling clear and he made a mess of them late to win well. Confidence is up, he appeals as a key chance.

4 Impending Legacy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was kept safe in betting when debuting over this trip at Happy Valley. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent mini kick from the front but just felt the pinch late in the piece behind King Glorioso. Better for the run, had trialled well prior, not dismissing him.

1 Reliable Profit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does like the dirt track and looks to have returned well so I am going his way. He resumed several weeks ago over the mile here where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never beating Precision Goal, he kept finding the line in defeat. Like him up to 1800m and gets Purton aboard.

5 Special Hedge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a last start track/distance winner so he commands respect. Loved the way he knuckled down to win last time, finding under pressure when it mattered to score. Good test here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Young Brilliant (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run well at the track/distance previously and is capable. Copped a nasty check at the start last time at Happy Valley and was never really a factor. Maps to settle handy, I am not dismissing him.

Hard to get away from 1 Daily Trophy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) after his last start track/distance romp where he sat off speed and was trucking before angling clear and he made a mess of them late. If he can overcome the draw, he’s clearly the one to beat.

3 Vulcanus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does tend to get better as the prep goes on but I think he’s sneaky going well and he likes the track/distance. He got a mile out of his ground at Happy Valley last start but I really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. If within range, he can be dangerous.

5 Loving Vibes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t quite set the world on fire this time in but he is a good horse when right. Down the track efforts in both runs this time in but has had excuses. Maps ideally, I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

7 Glorious Journey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He was solid here fresh behind Precision Goal before going to Happy Valley where he got back in the run and made up headway without threatening. Third up and hard fit, he’ll do me in an open race.

1 Luck Is Back (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Precision Goal at this track/distance a few weeks ago. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Lands near the front and will only run well.

8 California Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1200m here where he got back to near last in the run but worked home with purpose in a good effort in defeat. Jumps straight to the mile but it should be fine and he has more upside than most.

9 Camp Land (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me. He hasn’t done much in two runs back but I think he can be forgiven, whether it has been wide barriers or just needing the run. Third up and hard fit, can settle much closer to the tempo, I think he’s in with a shout at odds.

7 Fun N Fun Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on the fresh side since a first up win at this track/distance on Sep 28 when leading throughout and credit to him, he was there to be run down but he found to fend them off. Good racing style, he appeals.

5 Giant Leap (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to Mr Energia at this track/distance a few weeks back. He got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Good upside, he’s in the mix.

5 Mr Energia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a model of consistency for David Hall and if he handles the mile, I think he’s the winner. His recent runs have come over 1200m but he was quite dominant last start when winning so that tells me the trip is fine, as well as Zac sticking.

4 Mojave Desert (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the proven miler and commands respect. Loved the way he toughed it out to win two back before a third last start when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight. Just needs to overcome the draw.

10 Never Peter Out (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds. He resumed and finished down the track behind Mojave Desert in that race mentioned above, just looking in need of the run. He does love this track/distance so I wouldn’t be dismissing him,

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 9 Camp Land
