3/10/2019 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Woodbine

Ric Chapman looks at the Woodbine midweek card. Here are his thoughts on the top 3 runners in each race. Remember, get out of bed early as race 1 starts in Australia at 8:45am!

Race 1 8:45am 1700m Synthetic

LUCAS N LORI should slot in close to the lead and should dash late. The big money will come for KING CAUSEWAY who likes this grade. SEEMEE has the top rider on board so has claims.

TIPS: (5) SEEMEE, (6) King Causeway, (3) Lucas N Lori

Race 2 9:14am Mdn 1700m Synthetic

You nearly have to as an omen bet combine both LION’S GOLDENHEAT and LION KINGDOM together in quinellas here. Given the new Lion King movie opened recently worldwide. Throw in SHOWME YOUR SPOTS for 3rd. Yeah, leopard reference but still a big cat.

TIPS: (2) LION KINGDOM, (5) Lion’s Goldenheart, (1) Show Me Your Spots

Race 3 9:45am 2YO Mdn 1400m Synthetic

Stepping up in trip for the first time is always daunting for the babies. BEL BIMBO gives the impression it will suit him. ODDS GET EVEN has the draw to receive the run of the race which is a big help while MONEY MATTERS will probably slot in from out here and can run on.

TIPS: ((5) BEL BIMBO, (7) Money Matters, (2) Odds Get Even

Race 4 10:13am 1300m Synthetic

Really is hard to go past SLIP KID here. Has the rails draw, goes quick enough to take advantage of it and has the top rider. His stablemate RED FEVER has form good enough to win this too. They might play ducks and drakes and give him the win. FORESTER’S FORUM drops to the weakest grade here and that should spark him up.

TIPS: (1) SLIP KID, (3) Red Fever, (7) Forester’s Forum

Race 5: 10:45am 1100m 2YO Fillies Mdn Synthetic

They will hum along in this. CHEEKY PINT ticks a few boxes. Works recently say she has good speed. GIZMO FLASH might be pretty handy. Will hit the line strongly while PALACE TWO STEP is probably the one they come for. Top trainer and probably from this alley, comes across and parks in just behind the speed with cover.

TIPS (8) PALACE TWO STEP, (7) Gizmo Flash, (6) Cheeky Pint

Race 6: 11:15am 1300m Mdn Synthetic

WIND SPUN off this draw looks nicely placed. This is a pretty weak field. CHEEKYLICIOUS is capable and is ready. The draw here is great and recent form is sound for this low level. LOST A SOCK is in and out but is ready to put in today.

TIPS: (2) CHEEKYLICIOUS, (1) Wind Spun, (7) Lost A Sock

Race 7: 11:45am 1300m Synthetic

PINK SCIBBLES looks about the bet of the night. Should just ease into a lovely spot and with the top rider on can get by them as they turn. TOUCH OF ROUGE has been trained to the minute by Ross Armarta jnr, and will hit the line hard. PODGORA is only average when things don’t go her way but from out here can slot in with cover.

TIPS: (2) PINK SCRIBBLES, (4) Touch Of Rouge, (8) Podgora

Race 8: 12:12pm 1200m Synthetic

PRINCESS BRIE down in grade off the inside draw makes her a strong player here. Can jump and run along. SWEET BRYNLIE is a very reliable filly in this lower grade and is going to be coming at them hard late, while FRESHIEINTHEFOREST looks to run another placing here.

TIPS: (8) SWEET BRYNLIE, (1) Princess Brie, (9) Freshieintheforest
