Nine races will be run and won at Happy Valley on Wednesday night, with good depth across the program.

3 Joyful Treasure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the nod for me in an open race. He ran four weeks ago at this track/distance when a fair way off speed and while he was never threatening, I did like the way he finished his race off in defeat. If he can use the gate and settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

1 Always My Folks (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1000m here. He just found them a bit sharp but he stayed on and was far from disgraced in defeat. Fitter and up to 1200m, he only runs well.

7 Brilliant Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on the fresh side since Sep 28 at Sha Tin over 1200m when down the track and was never really a factor. Tick over trial was quite good and his best is good enough. Dangerous.

1 Star Brose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play. He ran over this track/distance last start where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway in a good effort. Just needs to settle a pair or two closer and he’ll take holding out.

8 Draco (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back when off speed and worked home with purpose in a really good effort in defeat behind Lucky Blessing when second. Purton on, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

3 Thunder Blink (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since a track/distance effort in a Class 4 where he seemed to get every chance and just whacked late. Back to Class 5 company, he can run an improved race.

5 Never Settle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance debut when off speed and worked home quite well late when third in an encouraging performance. Better for the run, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

6 Bits Superstar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) attempted to lead throughout three weeks ago at this track/distance and gave a strong kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through. Good racing style, he’ll take running down.

2 Fun Elite (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to Class 4 grade after contesting a Class 3 two weeks back here. He landed on speed and did try hard but just felt the pinch late. His best is good enough to be dangerous.

10 Roman Crown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat after a last start second three weeks ago at this track/distance. He got off speed and closed strongly, but just couldn’t quite get there. Right down in the weights, will be strong late and strikes a winnable race.

5 New Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back where he got to near last in the run and made up some headway but was never threatening. More positive ride, he’ll be one of the hardest to beat.

4 Everstar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is sneaky flying. Two weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when dragged back from the wide gate and made up decent headway. Has a gate to settle much closer and be effective late.

2 Supreme Agility (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to Happy Valley in winning form after a win over the mile on the Sha Tin dirt, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. He has run well at Happy Valley previously and despote the tricky gate, he’s the one to beat.

3 Hakka Radiance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is absolutely flying at the moment, winning three on the bounce, with his last two coming at this track/distance. Harder here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

8 California Sun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. He didn’t set the world on fire in three runs in his first prep when last in work. But, he has been given a good break and his trial work has been encouraging, so watch betting.

1 Robot Lucky Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should win if he can overcome the tricky draw. He has been strong in two runs back from a spell, the latest seeing him run second two weeks ago when just failing to get there. Purton on, just needs to get into a decent spot from the gate and he wins.

9 Dan Attack (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since an on speed win at this track/distance. Credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off. Good racing style, he’ll be around the mark.

5 Meowth (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran sixth to Dan Attack in the race mentioned above. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was more than sound. Can settle closer from the gate and be around the mark.

8 Fortune Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run and was a real eye catcher late when fourth. Likely spots them a start but if within range, I think his finale will be too much.

1 Fortunate Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, getting a decent sit in transit just behind the speed before angling clear and was do,in hat in the run to the line. He’s found winning form, he can go on with it.

4 Prestige Rocky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over the mile on the Sha Tin dirt when failing to handle the conditions and was never a factor. Back here, he can run a much improved race.

6 Keen Molly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when heavily backed as favourite. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to threaten but he was quite plain late. Prior efforts suggested a win was near so he gets another chance.

7 King Lotus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in three runs back and commands respect. Latest run saw him run second at this track/distance where he battled away really well in defeat. Tricky gate but hard to knock way he’s racing.

12 Mighty Steed (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the same race that King Lotus contested mentioned above. He did early work to land on speed and that early burn just told late. Right down in the weights, he’ll run an honest race with his racing style.

11 Northern Fire Ball (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for for me in the last. He resumes after a mixed campaign when last in work and he does have a good track/distance record, so a tick in that regard, and his trial work has been quite good.

1 Kyrus Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on the fresh side since Oct 8 when a track/distance winner, finishing best from off speed to score in good style and an impressive return. Tick over trial was good, he takes beating.

2 Symbol Of Strength (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance a few weeks back. He got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just battled late when fourth. Not sure he wins but can run first four at odds.

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 11 Northern Fire Ball
