Vin Cox has confirmed his decision to step down from his role at the prominent breeding and racing organisation, Yulong.
In a statement shared with the media on Thursday evening, Cox revealed that he had submitted his resignation with a six-month notice period.
The decision, according to Cox, came after differing views on the future direction and core values of the organisation.
“I want to thank the exceptional team and clients I have had the privilege to work with. I do not want to make any further comment,” the statement read.
Cox, who joined Yulong in October 2023, played a key role in helping the organisation solidify its position as a major force in Australia’s racing and breeding industry.
Yulong’s rapid rise to prominence was highlighted by Via Sistina’s stunning victory in the 2024 Cox Plate.
Under the ownership of Chinese billionaire Yuesheng Zhang, Yulong also celebrated Group 1 success during the autumn, with Devil Night winning the prestigious Blue Diamond.
