King’s Legacy continues to enhance his reputation as a first-season sire, with his 10th winner emerging at Rockhampton on Tuesday.
The milestone came courtesy of Next Legacy, a two-year-old filly trained by Aaron Beck, who scored an impressive maiden victory over 1050 metres at her fourth start after placing in her previous three runs.
Purchased for just $1750 as a yearling via Inglis Digital, Next Legacy has now delivered her owners more than 10 times her purchase price during her juvenile season.
She joins Group 3 winner Steel Trap, stakes performer Kujenga and Queen’s Evidence among the early progeny to have saluted for the dual Group 1-winning son of Redoute’s Choice.
Of King’s Legacy’s 10 first-crop winners, seven have been in Australia, one in New Zealand and two in the Philippines. He will stand the upcoming breeding season at a fee of $16,500.
