Chris Waller-trained colt Confederation will continue his racing career with Tony Gollan after selling for $205,000 to Rosemont Stud in the Inglis Digital October (Late) Online Sale.
The three-year-old son of Wootton Bassett topped the auction after being offered by the Coolmore Colts Syndicate, having originally cost $650,000 as a yearling.
Confederation has raced five times, all at Group level, with his best performances coming when placed in the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes and Group 3 Vain Stakes.
He will now head to Queensland to join Gollan’s stable.
The Coolmore Colts Syndicate also sold First Act for $105,000, with Griffiths Racing securing the colt.
Syndicate representative Brian McGuire said both horses attracted interest from Australian and international buyers, although he expected them to remain racing in Australia.
The second-highest price of the sale was $200,000 for an unraced two-year-old Toronado colt out of Baccarat Baby, purchased by X Bloodstock.
The youngster is a full brother to Group 1 winner Tron Bolt, who topped the 2025 Inglis Ready2Race Sale at $900,000 before going on to win the JJ Atkins in June.
X Bloodstock’s Kevin Sin said they had been interested in purchasing Tron Bolt last year but were unable to secure him.
“We liked Tron Bolt at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale last year but didn’t have enough money to buy him and obviously he’s gone on to be a Group 1-winning colt,” Sin said.
A trainer for the colt is expected to be selected in the coming days, with connections keeping their options open regarding where he will race.
“One option is to get him up to Hong Kong eventually to race but we’re also happy to keep him in Australia, we just need to find out what’s under the bonnet first,” Sin said.
There was also interest in promising two-year-old filly She’s Supreme, with two 2.5 per cent shares selling for $10,000 each.
The transactions value the daughter of Exceedance at $400,000, a significant increase on the $40,000 she cost at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in February.
She’s Supreme won her heat at Randwick’s first official two-year-old trials before finishing third on debut in the Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes.
Other six-figure sales included Queen Of Clubs, who was purchased by Blue Gum Farm and Suman Hedge Bloodstock for $155,000, an unnamed Zoustar two-year-old bought by Monarch Racing for $145,000 and Undercovered, who sold to AK Select for $125,000.
The Inglis Digital October (Late) Online Sale finished with a gross of $2,581,100.
