Promising 4YO Mare Zapurple is nominated to start her spring racing campaign this Saturday in the Lets Elope Stakes at Flemington.
Group 3 winner Zapurple has been nominated for the Let’s Elope stakes this weekend at Felmington, Zapurple is resuming from her Autumn campaign in which she took out the SA Fillies Group3 beating Miss Lilly Rose and Sky Journey at Morphetville over 2500m.
Zapurple is a promising stayer who will be looking at contesting some of the longer races over spring and should be very competitive especially over 2500m, she has been nominated for the BMW Caulfield Cup and the Emirates Melbourne Cup in which she has been given 50kg weights for each, although trainer J.Conlan will be looking at adding to her weights early in the Spring to try and increase her chances of being accepted into Australia’s biggest staying races.
