All Star Mile winner Mystic Journey has once again been beaten in Hobart as the heavily backed short priced favourite.
Mystic Journey was beaten as the $1.13 favourite in the Ladbrokes Stakes when resuming at Launceston on 20th January by Blaze Forth but despite beating him home in todays Listed Thomas Lyons Stakes she once again finished second.
The star Tasmanian mare was slow to begin before settling in the second half of the field off a fast tempo but she never looked comfortable throughout the 1400m event which was taken out by Newhart who was running away from her at the finish.
Mystic Journey opened at $1.45 with Sportsbet and was backed into $1.18 prior to the jump.
