South Australian jockey Stacey Metcalfe has received a two month suspension for her ride aboard Exalted Maxine at Murray Bridge on Wednesday.

Metcalfe was charged with failing to ride her mount out which cost the horse the win prompting stewards to hand the apprentice the hefty suspension.

The SA apprentices suspension will start next Wednesday and will run until the 12th of July.

Watch the ride below 📺👇

The Grant Young trained mare was sent out as a $15 chance with Sportsbet whilst Bolt I Am had eased out from favouritism to $6.00.
