WA jockey lands first G1 in Singapore Derby

Western Australian jockey Joe Azzopardi has broken his Group One duck in Sunday’s Singapore Derby.

Azzopardi steered Australian bred Sun Marshal to victory in Sunday’s feature at Kranji in Singapore on Sunday bringing up his first Group One win as a jockey.

The WA jockey has been riding in Singapore since April where he has ridden ten winners. He is licensed in Singapore until the end of the calendar year.
