Victoria’s most expensive yearling ever sold is set to make his debut at Cranbourne today.
The son of I Am Invincible was sold for $1.4m at the 2017 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale to trainer Ciaron Maher.
Octane is a half brother to Newmarket Handicap winner The Quarterback and will jump as the short priced favourite in the first race on today’s Cranbourne card a maiden over 1200m.
Octane opened at $7.50 in markets before a host of scratchings and good support which has seen his odds shorten into $2.25 clear favouritism.
