Racing in Victoria is set for a shake-up with Ten Monday-free race days scheduled over the next 3 months, allowing industry participants a break in their busy schedules.
Racing Victoria announced in April last year that the will trial will take place over a 10 week period starting on January 15 with an additional meeting added on Wednesdays during that time.
One of the two Wednesday meetings in each of those 10 weeks will be a twilight fixture running from approximately 4:30pm until 8pm.
While the Monday-free period extends through to March 26, the traditional Labour Day public holiday on March 12 will be an exception.
