One of the more fancied runners on Flemington’s nine-race card this Saturday won’t line-up in the field after he was found to have low-grade mucus.
The Sarah Zschoke-trained Eduardo, who is unbeaten in his two career starts, was a $3.00 chance to remain unbeaten in the Flemington Event Staff Handicap (1200m) before being scratched from the race.
The scratching has left the market wide open with the Darren Weir-trained Artie Dee Two taking over favouritism at $7.50.
"We've had him scoped this morning and he was found to have low-grade mucus, so he'll be scratched."
