Unbeaten star Victorian juvenile CUSACK (Not A Single Doubt – Belle Que) took a huge step toward victory in the upcoming $2million Magic Millions 2YO Classic with a Gold Coast barrier trial win.
And, given, he has now proven he’s back after a spell, his connections are getting their pumps ready.
Cusack is owned by an all women syndicate and he’s trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.
On debut he ran in the $252,000 Ballarat MM 2YO Classic and after drawing widest, he charged across and was on speed all the way. His win was narrow, but gutsy and carved out in strong time.
“He’s just so professional and I really wish we had a barn full of horses like him,” said Young.
All the Magic Millions talk is about the stunning filly COOLANGATTA (Written Tycoon – Piping Hot) who is also unbeaten. She too won a recent barrier trial, at Randwick, against older horses and looks the testing material.
The big race will be on 15 January at the Gold Coast over 1200m.
“Cusack is a typical not A Single doubt type – just built to be a fast early 2YO and he is just that. All the ladies will be letting their hair down on race day.”
There is a bonus for the first horse home who is owned exclusively by females.
Cusack is eyeing that off.
