Chris Waller has nominated Tromso as the unlikely hero to maintain his unprecedented winning streak at Rosehill.
Waller has trained at least one winner at the past 24 Saturday meetings on his home track beginning with Danleigh’s George Ryder Stakes victory almost a year ago.

Although his other runners on Saturday command respect, Waller believes he will have to wait until race nine, the Listed Maurice McCarten Stakes (1100m), to clinch the win to keep the remarkable sequence intact.
“I think we will have to wait until the last race,” Waller said.
“I believe Tromso is our best chance on the day.”
Tromso has won four of his 15 starts but also has a frustrating six seconds beside his name including the Listed Daybreak Lover at Eagle Farm in June last year, his only foray into stakes company so far.
Waller’s day begins with Fast And Sexy who takes on leading Golden Slipper contender Satin Shoes in the Reisling Stakes.
The filly has had two barrier trials since her sixth to Karuta Queen in the Magic Millions in January but is the outsider in the field with the unbeaten Satin Shoes the odds-on favourite.
Doncaster winner Rangirangdoo is having his first start since his big win last autumn in the Group Two Canterbury Stakes where he runs into More Joyous who is at an even shorter quote than Satin Shoes.
“He is fit and well but he can’t beat More Joyous,” Waller said.
The trainer doesn’t have a runner in the Coolmore Classic but will be represented by Hawk Island in the other Group One on the day, the Ranvet Stakes.
However, that too looks like mission impossible against Melbourne Cup runner-up Maluckyday and Caulfield Cup winner Descarado.
Australian Guineas runner-up Bullbars is the favourite for the Group Two Phar Lap Stakes in which the Waller-trained Slater will be aiming for an upset.
A last-start winner in a benchmark 90 race at Warwick Farm, Syreon is the third favourite in the Listed Sky High Stakes (1900m) while Beijing Boy, who finished fifth to Hawk Island in the Parramatta Cup, is a $17 chance.
Tromso is on the fourth line of betting for his assignment with multiple stakeswinner Swift Alliance heading the market.
Glyn Schofield, who combined with Waller for a double at Randwick on Wednesday, has been given the responsibility of guiding Tromso to victory should it come down to the last race to extend the winning streak.
