The eight-year-old has not saluted in Perth, but has gone close to taking out a feature event with four placings in Group and Listed races since last year.

Titan Blinders ran seconds in the Group 3 Eurythmic Stakes (1400m) and Listed Hannans Handicap and two thirds in the Listed Bunbury Stakes and Birthday Stakes.

Titan Blinders’ previous win came for Leon and Troy Corstens when ridden by John Allen he won a 1400m handicap at Ballarat by a length in 2020.

Despite his three year absence from the winner’s stall, the Gangemi brothers continue to believe the All Too Hard gelding can repay the faith of his owners.

“We bought him for $30,000 and he’s returned nearly $200,000,” Michael Gangemi told The Races WA.

“If you watch some of his races and the barriers he has drawn and the luck he’s had, he deserves to win one.

“He has come a long way and has found a new lease of life since coming across from the eastern states.”

After a close second to Resortman last year, Titan Blinders will look to go one better in Saturday’s Eurythmic Stakes (1400m) at Ascot.

He’s drawn ideally in barrier four and carries 55kg for jockey Jarrad Noske.

Titan Blinders is second-up in the Eurythmic Stakes after a fast closing third behind Baby Paris and stable mate Phanta in the Birthday Stakes (1200m).

“He was huge the last 600m after coming from well off them,” Gangemi said.

“He just peaked that last little bit, but has bounced out of the run.”

Titan Blinders, Phanta and Massimo give the Gangemi’s a potent force in the Eurythmic Stakes.

Phanta celebrated a breakout campaign in the winter when scoring back-to-back Listed victories in the Bolton Sprint (1200m) and Belmont Newmarket (1200m).

The six-year-old gave a bold sight out in front in the Birthday Stakes and was only cut down late in the shadows of the post by talented mare, Baby Paris.

“That last 50m was more so fitness in my opinion,” Gangemi said.

“He gave a good kick against a really good horse.

“Going up to 1400m is probably his best distance as well.

“We’ve got Phanta on the way up, an old war horse in Massimo and you’ve got Titan who ran 4th in a Gold Rush.”

Brad Parnham has been booked to ride Phanta. The on pace runner has gate two.

Massimo makes his return since the Northam Stakes in April.

With Clint Johnston-Porter aboard, the seven-year-old gelding jumps from barrier one.

Punters have warmed to Phanta in the Eurythmic Stakes. The son of Gingerbread Man is the $4.60 favourite, shortening from $5.50.

Titan Blinders is rated a $14 chance and Massimo is $31.
