Melbourne Cup winning trainer Darren Weir has cast doubt over one of his runners in this years race saying he has reservations whether or not the horse will run out the 3200m.
Darren Weir will saddle up Humidor and Amelie’s Star in Tuesday’s $6.2million dollar race with the Leading trainer saying on TAB Radio this morning he has reservations whether his more fancied runner Humidor will run out the trip.
Humidor shortened into equal Melbourne Cup favourite after his eye catching second to Winx in the Cox Plate but has continued to ease in markets since and is now out to $10 after being as short as $6.50.
Weir has expressed concerns whether Humidor will run out the 3200m especially after the horse put in a below par performance in the Caulfield Cup (2400m).
