Ethan Brown (Another Prophet): “Her whole build-up… at the start she was leading up half-mile trials and doing it upside down, so it was a matter of teaching her.
“She was a bit wound up at Moonee Valley and I think that is when we started thinking about her stretching to a mile.
“She’s always had good ability and certainly with the right trainer. I think she’s just progressed and what gave me more confidence was when we got in the yard and Ciaron said tucked up again since last start. Cantered to the gates and it felt on.
“Lobbed in a beautiful spot. She was a bit keen early; I was a bit worried about that, but as Ciaron said one she dropped her head she travelled sweet and built into it beautifully and showed her true colours today.”
James McDonald (Aeliana): “Good run. Race panned out perfectly for us but, unfortunately, like she did at Flemington she hit that flat spot and then here she never got through it. She let herself down that way. Had she balanced up better earlier she would have won.”
Jye McNeil (Too Darn Lizzie): “She towed me to her usual position and did well to run third.”
Mark Zahra (Matisse): “Ran well. I was just hoping the favourite could take us a bit further in the race. Probably more of a seven-furlong horse but did a good job to run fourth.”
Luke Currie (Benagil): “She just needed room earlier.”
Jamie Kah (Zeitung): “Good run. She probably just had a big prep and is probably looking for the paddock now.”
Damian Lane (Lovelycut): “She ran honest. She travelled great and presented to really go on with it but didn’t quite see out the mile today.”
Craig Williams (Dominetta): “Got in a lovely position. Was the plan to be three-wide with cover and come into it. Came under pressure around the bend and I think Caulfield was her undoing. After they sprinted past her, I had plenty of horse left and she’s got a really bright future.
Daniel Stackhouse (Stage ‘N’ Screen): “We were there positively and travelled nicely enough on the corner. Just didn’t have enough late in the piece. Will come back a nice filly in the autumn.”
Michael Dee (Double Market): “She had a wide run, but she stuck on gamely.”
Ben Melham (Geegees Mistruth): “She relaxed well. I thought she was going to run well then just got all disunited on the corner and wasn’t in it after that.”
Jordan Childs (Supercilious): “She had a good run, but I just don’t think she runs out a mile.”
Declan Bates (Let’s Fly): “Didn’t quite relax enough through the first part of the race and then got a bit tired late.”
