The well backed $1.3m Kosciuszko favourite Care To Think will not line-up in Saturday’s race.
Trainer Matt Dunn has informed Racing NSW stewards that Care To Think is showing signs of an elevated temperature and will not take his spot in the inaugural running of the race worth $1.3m at Randwick on Saturday.
Matt Dunn says he does not want to risk travelling the horse from Murwillumbah to Sydney for Saturday’s rich race for country-trained horses at Randwick.
The holder of the slot for Care To Think will nominate another horse on Wednesday morning.

Trainer @mattydunnracing just told me they simply couldn’t take the chance in traveling Care to Think from Murwillumbah to Sydney knowing he had a temperature. Slot owner has until 9 to select another horse.
