Star WA mare Enticing Star has been officially retired and will not race in Saturday weeks $14m Everest where she held a slot.
Enticing Star was set to line-up in The Everest at Randwick under Chris Waller Racing’s slot in the race but connections have opted to retire the star mare after she was disappointing as the short priced favourite in Saturday’s Golden Pendant.
Onwer Bob Peters announced the news on Thursday where he said Enticing Star will now head to stud although no sire has been selected.
Enticing Star was a $13 chance in Everest betting prior to her run on Saturday where she drifted to $51.
Waller trains Nature Strip and Yes Yes Yes who are in the box seat to take the now available slot in the race.
