Ringing endorsement from jockey Chris Parnham and confidence in Street Parade has trainer Russell Stewart brimming with high hopes that he can take out the Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy (1200m) at Pinjarra on Saturday.

“You don’t get much out of Chris, he’s laid back and cruisy, but he was quite animated at track work on Tuesday,” Stewart said on Tabradio.

“He said he’s (Street Parade) on the ball.

“I couldn’t be happier with the horse and I couldn’t tell anyone not to be on him.”

Stewart says Street Parade had improved and will strip fitter after his third at Ascot in January.

In his first outing in over a month and lumping 59kg he was cut down in the last 50m by My Bella Mae and Cut The Talk.

My Bella Mae is a dual Listed winner and an emerging star who has only been beaten once in her career.

Cut The Talk consolidated the form when scoring as hot favourite at Belmont on Thursday.

“He’s really come on since,” Stewart said.

“It was about six weeks between runs.

“He pulled up like he needed that one.

“I think the form around My Bella Mae looks pretty good going into a race like this tomorrow (Saturday).”

Stewart is confident Street Parade can bust a 1200m query.

The bay gelding’s had three goes at the trip for one third in last year’s Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic (1200m).

Stewart doesn’t believe a 1200m cloud hovers over Street Parade.

“If he is ridden the right way I have no problem about the 1200m,” Stewart said.

Street Parade has drawn barrier seven in the Magic Millions 3YO Trophy and carries 56.5kg for Parnham.

In Tabtouch betting he’s firmed from $3.80 to $3.30 and currently shares favouritism with Man Crush

Malkar Pindari, out to snap her maiden status, is next at $3.80 with Unibet Australia.
