The fate of the Doomben meeting rests with Queensland stewards with more than 300mm of rain falling over the past 10 days.
Stewards will inspect Doomben on Wednesday to see if racing will be possible on Thursday.
Last week’s Thursday meeting at the track was abandoned along with racing at Beaudesert, Toowoomba, and the Sunshine Coast (twice).
The rescheduled meeting at Toowoomba on Tuesday was able to be completed.
Chief steward Peter Chadwick said stewards would have a clearer picture after the inspection.
“It is continuing to rain in Brisbane and that is obviously a worry,” he said.
“But we are obviously keen to race if safe but we are keeping a close eye on things.”
Doomben was rated a heavy 10 on Wednesday morning with 10 races programmed for Thursday.
Saturday’s racing is at the nearby Eagle Farm track which was in the good range on Wednesday.
The redeveloped Eagle Farm track got to a soft rating last Saturday.
