Promising two-year-old Silent Intent has taken another step towards a possible start in the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes after recording his second Flemington jumpout victory this month.
The Hellbent colt began sharply in Thursday’s 800m Heat 2 before extending clear of his rivals late to score by three lengths.
Champagne Time finished second, with Bella Divina third in the six-horse heat.
Silent Intent was purchased by McEvoy Mitchell Racing and Belmont Bloodstock Agency for $190,000 at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Stablemate Ankaa also impressed during the two-year-old heats, producing a strong finish to win Heat 3.
The son of Anamoe charged home to defeat an unnamed Tassort colt from the Lindsay Park stable.
Ankaa races in the familiar OTI colours after being purchased for $300,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Heat 4 went to John McArdle-trained Musandam, a Kia Ora Stud-owned half-sister to Group 1 winner Qafila.
Musandam held off McEvoy-trained Pierata filly Maalefushi to complete the morning’s two-year-old trials.
