Sheza Alibi’s owner Fred Noffke has turned down an offer exceeding $6 million for the emerging star, as confidence grows around her future potential.
The Queensland grazier revealed he declined the approach, believing the multiple Group 1-winning filly could go on to rival the prizemoney achievements of champion mare Winx.
Fresh from her stunning victory in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile, Sheza Alibi has quickly established herself as one of Australia’s most exciting racing prospects.
Noffke said the recent offer fell well short of his valuation.
“It (the offer) wasn’t even something to be considered really,” Noffke told Racenet.
“It was more money than we are going to win in the Golden Eagle later this year (the winner’s share was $5.25m in 2025), but it wasn’t enough.
“It was more than $6m, but she is worth a lot more than that.
“I probably don’t want to consider any offer to sell her, but in the end there is probably a value that I would have to consider.
“I expected to get an offer for $12 or $15m from someone serious, because Sheza Alibi is going to win a lot of money in the future.”
Purchased for just $10,000 via an online sale, the filly announced herself on the big stage with a powerful finishing burst to claim the Doncaster Mile, producing one of the most memorable performances in the race’s history.
Connections are now eyeing a lucrative spring campaign, with further Group 1 targets expected as she continues to build her profile.
