The complete dispersal of Cornerstone Stud’s commercial breeding portfolio and shares in Queensland Oaks heroine Fireball Miss headline the 412-lot Inglis Digital August (Early) Online Sale, which is now open for bidding.
Cornerstone Stud will offer 34 unreserved lots, including broodmares, yearlings, weanlings and two-year-olds, with stallion shares in Nicconi, Fierce Impact and Rebel Dane excluded from the dispersal.
Among the highlights is broodmare Just Excel, the dam of exciting Too Darn Hot filly Shiki, who emerged as one of last season’s leading juveniles.
Also catalogued is unraced three-year-old Ballet’s Legacy, a three-quarter sister to Group 1 winner and leading first-season sire Home Affairs and a half-sister to fellow Group 1 winner Russian Revolution.
Five separate five per cent shares in Ciaron Maher-trained Group 1 winner Fireball Miss will also go under the hammer, with the mare set to target the Empire Rose Stakes during the spring carnival.
The sale catalogue features 412 lots comprising 144 racehorses, 136 racehorse shares, 87 broodmares, 24 yearlings, 11 unraced horses, five stallion shares, four two-year-olds and one breeding right.
Other notable offerings include mares in foal to Ole Kirk, Chaldean, Celestial Legend, Lucky Vega and Switzerland, alongside a broad selection of racehorses, breeding prospects and stallion shares.
Bennett Racing is the largest vendor with 74 entries, while Waterhouse/Bott, Archibald Racing, Ciaron Maher, Vinery, Widden, Kia Ora, Blueblood Thoroughbreds, Michael Freedman, Fernrigg, Yulong and Langdale Park are also represented.
Bidding is now open and will conclude from 10am on Wednesday.
