Trainer Henry Dwyer is contemplating an Ascot venture for Asfoora, depending on her autumn campaign’s success.
Currently on a three-week break, Asfoora will resume training soon, with plans to compete in the Rubiton in early February, followed by the Oakleigh Plate later that month.
If she returns to top form, Dwyer is considering taking her to Ascot.
Asfoora, a daughter of Flying Artie, had a successful spring season, securing two more Group wins, although she faced challenges in the Champions Sprint, finishing ninth behind Imperatriz.
Dwyer believes that while the mare struggles with the 1200m distance, she could excel in shorter sprints offered in the UK, Ireland, and France.
He noted that most Group 1 sprints in Australia are 1200m, except for a few like the Oakleigh Plate and the Galaxy.
In contrast, European races such as The King’s Stand, The Nunthorpe, The Flying Five, and Prix de l’Abbaye are all 1000m events, potentially more suitable for Asfoora’s strengths.
