Romantic Warrior has successfully navigated a series of challenges, including a disruptive pre-export quarantine in Hong Kong and the impact of Super Typhoon Saola.
Now settled in Australia, the horse is adjusting well, says Ben So, travelling foreman for trainer Danny Shum.
Previously plagued by feed import issues, the team is relieved that a suitable replacement feed has been found at Werribee.
Romantic Warrior, a three-time Group 1 winner in Hong Kong, will make his Australian debut at the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on October 7. He will then compete in the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on October 28.
Travelling alongside stablemate Romantic Charm, who is also expected to race, the horse has strong support from both his team and fans in Hong Kong.
Romantic Warrior is currently the $2.40 favorite for the Turnbull Stakes with Ladbrokes and the $4.00 favorite for the Cox Plate.
